I just installed the latest snapshot (Both server And Client) and cannot get into the game. :dry.gif::sad.gif: I error out with "Took too long to log in" am I Holding it wrong? :rolleyes::biggrin.gif: Should I try reloading (Dl-ing from Mojang) the server? [SSM works fine just entering a server causes the error] Here's a for a tip :laugh.gif:

maybe i can help somebody with this:
when downloading the new minecraft.jar and you are behind an firewall or proxy or similar thing it is safer to download from https - virus-scanners or other nasty programms filtering your internet-traffic wont look into minecraft.jar and damage it
it worked! and i see that notch has made diamonds more common! i only have a STONE pickaxe, i found a cave, got some iron, and FOUND DIAMONDS!! EDIT : so i smelted the iron, and i was , unlike those poor people who fell into lava when they got theyre first diamonds (happened to me even once!) i DID NOT fall into lava when i mined them! :biggrin.gif: ANOTHER EDIT: Im mining obsidian! a quick tip for doing it, get a bucket of water, mine 1 block next to the obsidian, put the bucket of water in the hole, and mine away! When the water goes 8 blocks, just grab the water source block, patch up a layer or 2 of where the water was, put the bucket of water back, and mine away MORE!
So i downloaded the new .jar and replaced my old with the new one. Than i exited out of my jar and opened the minecraft launcher, i logged in and then it started updating but then it stopped all most at the end and it said done loading, but it just stayed at that screen for like an hour! This has happened to me before in pre-releases but im confused on how to fix it???? can you help?
To uninstall the Snapshot, all you have to do is force update, right?
yes but becuase the lastest ones add new blocks you can not use worlds u used with the snapshot after it was removed.
so in other worlds if you opened a old world useing the snapshot it might be corrupted. you will need to wait for the update or remove all of those blocks in your world to use it again.
this is becuase of new blocks.

rename your minecraft.jar to minecraft
simple as that!
Wait, what? Not at all.
Not all servers have secure access.
Can you not download it, or not start it after downloading? What browser are you using?
Set up a Hamachi server how you normally would, just use the snapshot server jar, instead of the current one.
If you have extensions disabled, otherwise you would just mess things up.
Use a real browser instead of Internet Explorer.
