I can asure you it's not your system or op its in the mine craft it's self this issue arose after a certain patch.If you are getting this every few seconds then you might want to do fresh install of mine craft. Some mods can cause this error too. specially saving chunks error. This is something notch is going to have to look into on the open gl issue.
If i rem right open gl wasn't always in minecraft. it wasn't till it was intorduced did this erorr start appearing. Turning open gl off doesn't help. This program will still crash from opengl. This lets me know as a amature learner this is in the code. cause if you turn it off you shouldn't get the crash. But some where in the code when you select turn opengl off it isn't turning it off and there fore you still will crash from it cause it's still running. Be patient and wait for notch to get the error fixed. He's a little busy with the minecraft launch and all stuff that is going on right now.
Try to right clicking on Desktop, then select Properties and go to Settings tab. Click Advanced, then go to Troubleshoot tab and drag Hardware acceleration thingy from full, to bellow medium and click OK. Try playing MC. Hope this helped.

take out your power cable and put it in again. i got a Dv6 and it were just because it havent changed the graphics
one thing? you got a Dv6 and Intel Core I7? i got a Hp Pavilion Dv6 with I5?
LOL I see that switch graphics thing heaps but just ignore it, now it won't come on? I'm Pulling out the charger and putting it back in. I'll keep trying :wink.gif:
