I've downloaded Minecraft Forge so that I can install and use TreeCapitator but whenever I try to open up the installer for Minecraft Forge in Java, it comes up with a message for literally half a second saying "Error: Could not find or load main class C:/Users/Barnes/Downloads/forge-1.7.2-10.12.1.1060-installer.jar"
Can anybody help? I've seen multiple tutorials saying that I have to do this for TreeCapitator to work. if you can tell me how to do this or point me to a simpler to install mod that does the same thing, I'd be very grateful
No. I left it in downloads, exactly where it put it when it downloaded. I also tried putting it on the desktop and the same thing happened so I put it back in the downloads folder
I was able to install Forge with the exe file as suggested but now my game just crashes whenever I try to use it with Forge. It works fine as vanilla but it immediately crashes before minecraft even loads
To be clear, I downloaded 1.7.9, then created a profile from the launcher to downgrade to 1.7.2. I got the Forge 10.12.1.1060 download, opened the exe, and used "Install Client." Now, everytime I open the "Forge" profile, the game window opens, gives a black screen for a few seconds, then crashes, with this crash report.

SteamPunkChewie: do you have 'bspkrsCore' in your mods folder? It's needed for most all of bspkrs' mods (TreeCapitator) to work. I don't use this mod, but I do use one of bspkrs other ones.
Scrimsax: it seems Thaumcraft had a problem (if you notice near the bottom of the crash report it says Thaumcraft was Unloaded but not Unloaded->Constructed) I don't think 3.0.2 is the one you want for Minecraft 1.7.2. I think you want Thaumcraft 4.1.1.11 and something called Baubles? I haven't actually used this mod, so I've only got the info from the forum page. You may want to check there for more info.

I am also having another problem with vanilla minecraft now if you guys could help me out some more. Every time I open vanilla minecraft in the launcher, it starts loading and then comes up with this just before going back to the launcher:

OK, this is probably a stupid question, but how do I make my 1.7.9 loader install 1.7.2, OR where can I get 1.7.2 to download? Because all that's in my profile editor, to cut off this answer, is release 1.7.9.

hi, i'm wondering if anyone would follow me. I need support. And people who know what the hell there doing when it comes to coding (and anything that is not just messing around). I have some AMAZING ideas for mods, maps and texture packs. (All mods starting in .jar file at first).
Mods;Giant animals, New Biombs, better survival, more armor types (hoodies, hats, gloves, sneakers, etc.), ender mod (more endermen, more bosses, more to do in the end, more food, more swords, blocks, tools, armor, ores, minions, pets, and coolness meters (yes you read right!)
Maps;survival, citys, parkore, etc.
Texture Packs;Midevil, Miners inspired, EVERYTHING IS DIAMOND BLOCKS, hellish nightmare, etc.

Scrimsax: it seems Thaumcraft had a problem (if you notice near the bottom of the crash report it says Thaumcraft was Unloaded but not Unloaded->Constructed) I don't think 3.0.2 is the one you want for Minecraft 1.7.2. I think you want Thaumcraft 4.1.1.11 and something called Baubles? I haven't actually used this mod, so I've only got the info from the forum page. You may want to check there for more info.

I am also having another problem with vanilla minecraft now if you guys could help me out some more. Every time I open vanilla minecraft in the launcher, it starts loading and then comes up with this just before going back to the launcher:

Texture Packs;Midevil, Miners inspired, EVERYTHING IS DIAMOND BLOCKS, hellish nightmare, etc.
