On the current version, Giants have the same textures as zombies, but why not separate the textures?
It would help mapmakers that uses giants and zombies, If there are no giant textures, it will use the zombie texture.
Being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of. Nerds rule the world! Who invented the internet? Nerds. Who created personal computers and smart phones? Nerds. Who made every video game you've ever played and ever will? Still nerds. Who sent probes to distant planets? Nerds, nerds and more nerds! I'm a nerd and I'm proud.

I agree. Regardless of whether or not giants spawn naturally right now, they are different enough mobs that they should have their own files (zombie skin being default, of course).
Why? they won't be in the game anytime soon, and we can't suggest things removed.
Okay, first the Redstone Rain Detector, and now this? You must not know the mapmaking part of Minecraft. Giants can be summoned using /summon, and this would help for maps to make Giant Zombies not just Giant Zombies.

There are things known as the 10 Suggestion Commandments. Many know the obvious, such as, "Thou shalt search before typing thy post," or, "Thou shalt not be vague," but one that no one knows is, "Thou shalt organize thy post." More people need to know of this commandment.
Why would Mojang re-texture a mob that they are no longer using? If they are going to do anything to it, it should be making it actually attempt to get close enough to attack rather than stand a few blocks away doing nothing.

He doesn't want them retextured, he wants them to have a separate texture so that WE can retexture them for Adventure maps.

Temporarily disabled? They've never been in any version!
Go on any version with the /summon command and type this in a command block:
/summon Giant ~ ~1 ~

This guy IS NOT suggesting to re-texture giants , he suggests that they have their own texture file , but defaults to zombies' skin so players can edit it , and if they don't it will have the zombies' texture .

I have a new account called "Mushroomsock" now, so please do not send me PMs.
That's what I meant
They ARE NOT removed , they are temporally disabled , until then , lets enjoy having them in adventure maps .
If you are planning to make a suggestion, please read this.
If you want to know more, you can read this.
For those who complain about post-Beta generation, you might want to see this.

He is only suggesting to make them have separate files, which would be useful for mapmaking.
