I always was bothered by how days and nights in Minecraft are exactly the same length. Nowhere on Earth does this happen (for too long, anyways) because the Earth tilts and rotates while orbiting the sun. This is mainly what causes seasons as well. So, if seasons are implemented, wouldn't it make sense to make days shorter and longer accordingly? For instance, you have longer days and shorter nights in summer, with winter being the opposite. If you choose a polar region, your days will be extremely long in summer, and nights in winter. Tropical, equatorial regions will have little difference.
Please note how this adds an emphasis on Winter being the most dangerous season.

Notch wrote somewhere that this was going to be implemented. specifically the seasonal variation. Equatorial variation would be impossible on a cube, or infinite plane such as infdev.
Lol, should Notch make a place where you literally "fall off the world" Like its flat, and when you reach the edge, all the water is flowing off the side.

If you walk off instead of saying "Game over" it would say "Wow! Those sailors were right!"

A simple suggestion on geology here.

Slaves of the Coal Mine
An interesting Novel to pass the time.
