I'm sure a mechanic like this would be great for other games out there, but I can't picture this being successful at all in Minecraft. When you're spending so much time collecting, crafting and mining things while trying to survive, body temperature is not something players will want to worry about.
This also sucks the fun out of being in deserts and taigas.

I guess your right... maybe its not fit for minecraft
With this I would feel sorry for anyone who enjoys hardcore mode and the large biome option. Spawning in a desert or taiga would almost be a death sentence.

My avatar is a two tailed fox named Miles "Tails" Prower. He may only be 8 years old,but he is a highly skilled engineer. He stands 2'7" tall, and can use his tails to fly short distances, and run at near supersonic speeds.
I am against this. This is Minecraft, not DayZ. Also, Hardcore mode means that it would have to be applied to hard difficulty in basic survival.
Nice comparison, what the hell is that game? But yes, it would be applied to hard only. Though I am ok with this actually, if only hard. I think it should pose more extra challenges than it does now. (extra as in zombies knocking down doors etc)

He suggested several options to cool yourself down, as well. it would be a neat challenge, maybe somewhat of an annoyance but nonetheless.

I would love it if you checked out my "about me" page on my profile and looked at my threads I'm always happy to see new posters.
This would be a great addition to Hardcore.
Hardcore is kinda lacking, since only Zombies can do something extra and you only take more Damage. (And you lose the World when you die)
Diamonds to you!

I saty that if you are against it you dont have to download it. seriosly there are about 1million people that might want this mod(if it ever is made) even i am searching for a mod like this just no one has invented it yet.
Not really. For some reason it seems a bit too realistic to fit Minecraft. That's one of the aspects of Minecraft; you can do some things that you can't do in real life (e.g. dirt doesn't obey gravity, you can mine stone with a wooden pick)
No support.

I'm still using Windows 7.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
