Often time, while making maps in Minecraft, I come across a problem: I want alot of one mob, or none of another, to spawn in my world.
Suggested Changes:
Choose Mobs- Keep in mind that I don't want to hurt anyone elses games, so this is why this is my first suggestion. There could be another gui in the options menu that opens a page that allows the player to change a certain mob to on/off. This page would have each mob on it, allowing for easy selection of which mobs the player wants to have spawn in the world. Now, I have also thought about the fact that people could hurt the gameplay buy playing with all of the mobs off, but that is similar if not the same to playing on peaceful.
Customize Hostile Mobs- This change would, basically, have more options to choose in the menu page mentioned above. Among these options would be the ability to change the health, strength, and speed of each type of mob. (Also including the blast radius of creepers and the "skill" of skeletons with their bows.)
Difficulty?- Given all of these options above, I'm not sure if the player would even need a difficulty bar (Though I'm sure the issue of food and player health will need to be adressed). So, I think that difficulty should be an option to reset the game to its default difficulty (peaceful, easy, medium, hard).
Customize Health and Hunger Bars- I am adressing this topic now so that it will be clear to everyone. There could be a change in the difficulty bar, or even two different difficulty bars, one for the player and one for mobs. This is my basic idea for this, and I don't, honestly think it solves every problem. If you have a better idea of how to solve this, I would be glad to hear it.
A New Command Option-
This is another option that jpmrocks has adressed in the comments. (I think that this way could work jut as well.) Instead of a change in the Options Menu, there could be a command, "/creepers on/off" , or something to that nature that allows the player to turn off the spawning of certain mobs.
I Know I'm Not Perfect! I'm sure that alot of people like the way Minecraft is now, and would hate to see a change in the difficulty. And, I'm sure there are just as many people who agree with me. If you see anything drastically wrong with these ideas, or you just think that there are some minor problems, feel free to comment. I love reading your guys' comments, and they are very helpful!
Seems that instead of this being under the "Options" button, this would be better for a /command for the Comand Block. You could simply spawn a few in, edit the mob spawning rates of your world, and change it with the flick of a switch.

I see how that could work, and It also wouldn't require any change in the actual menu. Is there already a way to do this, or a similar method?
