I've noticed how placing blocks down can be a pain if you're over lava or something. So what if you placed blocks based on their plain instead of the side of another block. What do I mean you ask? Basically what I'm saying is if you hold a key down, like ctr for instance the point your mouse at a block face, hold your right mouse button, and move your mouse, it would place blocks only on that plain/ dimension. This would make building massive structures, floors, walls, or even small scale much easier. Think of all the big projects and creations you hear about in minecraft. A lot of that time is spent just building a wall to a big tower or castle block by block, and occationaly missing, breaking that block, then continuing. With this added to the game, a map creator, designer, or any minecraft player can benefit from this. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, or suggestions please let me know.
I thought the fact that it was kinda tough to do was part of the point? All them tricks you learn to make things faster, or safely. The occasional fall to your death for risking something...

I do not support any ideas that would make Minecraft easier. It's already extremely easy to do just about anything in Minecraft. Really, people need to stop trying to make it easier.

Kingdoms rise and fall. Just don't burn the paintings in the Louvre, that's all.
I will not lie, I am surprized by your guys reaction. I got this idea from the game star forge, I just ask that you look it up on YouTube to get a feel for the concept.

Request denied. We get the concept. We just don't like it.
