This idea came to me when i found out that theres a such thing as a ICE VOLCANO (cryo volcano) on certain planets!!!
(THIS is a TEXTURE PACK IDEA, everything im talking about here is nothing but textures. If it looks like a "feature" youre adding more than what was said.
Like if i say "villagers will be dogs" it does NOT mean theyre going to come with all of the dogs Mechanics because i said this post is about TEXTURES, meaning the villagers will only LOOK like dogs and still act like villagers)
Key: "Current minecraft item" = "Texture"
Fire = Cold fog, smokey look
Lava = Slushy water
Horses = All white with 3 icy horns, transparent ice horse, Snow horse where the legs are covered in like a snow dress
Cows = Snow cows, giving water when milked
(the water when milked is a texture as well, everything here is talking about textures. Taking an ingame item's texture and using it for something else HAS been done by the developers of minecraft before. Check out the "festive texture pack" and place a grass block. You'll notice that there's snow on it, like the current ingame snowy grass/dirt block when you place a snow layer on top of it. The new grass block in the texture pack is not actually a grass block with a snow layer on top of it, its just a texture. They look different to help you tell the difference.)
Chickens = snow chickens, dropping snow balls for eggs
Dirt = ice
Soil = thin ice
Crops = fish (so when you plant a crop it will look like fish are slowly being trapped in ice)
Etc. Im like more of the artistic side of minecraft and I Gotta have this instead having everything dressed in sweaters in the festive texture pack lol.

More of a texture pack idea and less of a feature. Plus some people, like myself, don't celebrate christmas. Then you have to consider people who live in, say, Argentina. It's their summer right now. Would look neat, though

Yep thats what i was going for, a texture pack idea.
I like the idea of "elemental" texture packs where a whole texture pack is themed around 1 element. A theme around a superheros (or villians) power! Like if the villian Poison Ivy from the movie Batman was to create her own world, it would be filled with all types of plants and things that support plants like bees

I like the idea of winter themed items, but I don't think it should work the way you suggested it. First off, and like ardrawsstuff suggested, this should much rather be a texture pack then a feature. The title of the post says its a texture pack but you have some new features in there which wouldn't be part of a texture park. I also think it should be an optional texture pack, which is available all-year-round. I'll assume you live in the northern hemisphere (seeing how you made this post), but not everybody does. The southern hemisphere has seasons opposite of the northern hemisphere due to the axial tilt of the earth, so although it may be winter for you, people in say Australia, South America or anywhere else in the southern hemisphere are in the Summer right now.

Although Christmas is in the title of the post, none of the features suggested have anything to do with Christmas, just with the Winter.

Not Much Support for how you suggested it.

Texture pack is in the title too, how 2 people miss this?
And yea, i do realize seasons are different in different parts of the world. I put christmas in the title because mojang does wintry things when christmas nears

I didn't miss texture pack in the title, I said that the title says texture pack the post suggests some new features. I acknowledged that in my reply. The post says that Snow Cows would give you a Water Bucket and Snow Chickens would drop Snowballs. That's not part of a texture pack, that's a feature. The Christmas thing is a minor nitpick, but I do think you should change the title from "Christmas" to "Winter".

Hey guys I'm James, I used to be a noob but now I'm not, I finally figured out how to use TextCraft so here's a banner for one of my suggestions.

Oh lol, no the "water bucket" is texture, not an actual water bucket. There will be some design to help you know the difference between an actual water bucket
Same for snowballs
Just like how the "festive texture pack" (the one made by the developers) makes the grass into snowy grass. Its not actual "snow layers" on a "grass block" or a new feature, its just a texture.
I though that since i mentioned texture oack that everyone would think that everything here was textures, ill make it more clear since 2 people thought i was actually talking about features lol

It's ok. Sorry for the confusion. I thought by Water Bucket and Snowballs you were talking about the items in game. Sorry for the confusion, and sorry that I thought it was not a texture pack, I guess then it is a full texture pack. I also like the texture pack, by the way.

Whoops, i get it now. Misunderstandings aside, it really is a nice idea. I'd make it if i could.

That is true. I was just referring to the title. Some people not celebrating Christmas wouldn't matter in terms of a feature anyway, as Mojang already ignores that by making our chests wrapped for Christmas.
