There have been times when I want to wear some colourful clothing, but I don't want to sacrifice protection for style, so I'd love to be able to wear iron armour and put my leather clothes, which have been dyed, on that iron armour.
As we also know, gold armour is bad, but with vanity clothing slots, we can wear gold armour like kings, while being protected with iron armour underneath.
Also, if we're going to have vanity slots, we then should get some clothes meant to be vanity clothing. You can still wear it in your regular sloth, but I doubt they'll give you much protection. These can be clothes made of wool, that can be dyed and dyed with different patterns. Like do you want something royal, or something simple?
I'm just rambling now, but I just want to wear my stylish, dyed leather clothing without sacrificing my iron suit.
Too bad. If you want style, you'll have to sacrifice utility. Besides, diamond armour is a clear sign of, well, being far enough in the game to warrant it.
I would be okay with this if any actual armor was still visible even when the clothing is above it. You should always be able to clearly see if a player has armor on.

I think this is a great idea!

My suggestions: Enhancements - Throwable Fire Charges - On Phantoms and Elytra. Also check out The Minecraftian Language. This signature is not here to waste your space.
