Mojang and fellow minecrafters, I would like to see if we could get a raider type mob that can come and raid your place. They should have their own place like a village that you can raid. It would make minecraft more exciting and up the difficulty.
There remains the issue of determining what constitutes the "your place" they raid…
Zombie sieges are the nearest thing to this in the game to date and rely on some very fixed mechanics that make a zombie siege an exploitable (if slow) way to farm zombies.
Adding mobs that could use doors, trapdoors, gates, and ladders (which would seem necessary for raiding even very early bases) would be a large change to the game. An AI that could use iron doors/trapdoors (which would require locating the activating mechanism) as would be needed to be effective vs mid- to lategame bases, probably exceeds what is currently achievable….

By being able to simple break some blocks, and nerdpole a bit, everything could be done... It isn't that hard, the hard part comes in the balance or adjust of this "raid"...
As "idea" is good, but then you need to think all the variables, simplify it, simplify it again, and then test, still, as an "idea" is good XD

This would just be annoying, and difficult to code. How much health do they have and what are their drops?
Well I like the idea, but when the "siege/assult" happens, the server would need to tell the players...
Or just THAT ONE player
