It would basically be a piece of gravity affected cobblestone (similar to sand) that could be crafted using 9 regular cobblestone in a 3x3 grid formation in the crafting table.
I would have to assume that it would do some type of damage, similarly to an anvil. Plus, it would simply look nicer that regular cobblestone, and could be placed with gravel, sand, and concrete powder to make some interesting looking falling structures.
Are you sure the sole purpose of this isn't for trolling? It looks EXACTLY like regular cobblestone, but has the properties of gravel. You build a wall out of this stuff, and you say to someone "there is treasure across the wall, dig a tunnel through it" and they get trolled because the normal-looking cobblestone will fall on them.
Only use I can imagine is to look nice if you want to demolish something; but since Minecraft has so many useless blocks, a block with even ONE use fits in anyway.

Why do you assume? It's... Your suggestion... You don't assume anything, you just give every detail and you can revise later if we give helpful criticism...
Anyway, it seems like there's at least some use for this in storage, because you do get a lot of cobblestone in this game, although I don't really see why its gravity would be useful, considering gravel and sand already exist...

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.

How would this differ from gravel?
Could one do things with "Heavy Cobblestone" that can not be doen with sand/gravel? If so, what?

I get it. It's like cobblestone but it can fall like gravel.
