Bandits are hostile mobs that spawn in a generated structure called a Bandit Camp. The Bandit Camp has tents made of staircases and beds, with chests, along with bandit spawners. Bandit Camps are generated in any biome as long as there is land. Bandits can also spawn naturally anywhere like hostile mobs. Bandits attacks does 3 hearts per hit and each hit they take an item from you. If they kill you, they take all your items (including what you wear) and make use of them. For example if they steal a potion or a sword, they will use them. If there is a bandit camp nearby, the items may get distributed between nearby bandits.

Nope Nope Nope. I have already read your other suggestions (no offense buddy, but there all bad,) and this just adds to the list. First of all, the biggest problem. Why have them spawn as regular natural mobs? This would be very bad if you've just survived your first or second night, and then you have everything taken away from you! This would also be annoying if you've been playing for awhile, and then all of a sudden some bandit comes up and steals your amazing sword, or your amour or something very valuable to you, and then they use your items against you, and you couldn't even get them back?! Also how are they doing that much damage to you? Are they hitting you with a baton or something? Finally, the camp. Would they spawn in new chunks or old chunks or underground or where? I also believe having the spawners in the camp are too OP. Now you said there would be chests. What loot would they contain? If they contained your items that they stole, then that might be worth raiding the camp, but apart from that, there is no reason having this feature in the game. I believe that this would be a terrible edition to the game. I give NO SUPPORT
Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
Tell that to the people that have told me that when ever I make requests, please. It's annoying.
The comment was more of a reply to Mr_Wolfzilla than anything, though.

I don't think bandits are as bad of an idea as many make it out to be. The biggest concern for me is that they steal your items whenever the hit you. That isn't very fair. How about instead, they take items in your inventory but not in hotbar only 25% of the time; and only one per mob. They shouldnt use the item either. Bandit camps should also be rarer, so you only run into them once in a blue moon. To compensate, the bandit should have a drop that makes fighting them worthwhile. Of course they should always drop the items they stole from you.
Right now this is a bad idea. But with work and creativity, it can be made into something suitable for the game.
I'm actually intrigued by the idea of a mob that takes your items upon your death, as long as that's the only way it takes your items. I don't think "bandits" would really fit in with the game, but maybe some sort of illager or other mob could have the same effect. Also, they shouldn't take all of your items, just 1 or 2.

I think that only upon the players death the Bandits pick up the fallen players items and equip them. Similar to on hard mode if a Zombie killed the player they have a chance to pick up the fallen players items.
Would be a nice shake up to game play and add a sense of challenge after the player is fully decked out.

Might make a good mod, but it doesn't seem like something you would have in Minecraft default.
I have a minecraft role-play realm, DM me if interested
Actually, I think there IS a mod for this.
Look it up :3

I don't want a mob that takes my items. Why would anyone want this?
