This idea came to my while building a fortress which was meant to be a few hundred years old. What if we had rotten and mossy wood blocks? By this i mean rotten and mossy wood logs, slabs, fences, stairs, planks, anything made of wood. This would really add to the current way of creating builds that are meant to be old and/or degraded.
Perhaps this could be an entirely new tree, that could spawn in the Swamp Biomes. Currently this is very vague, since you are suggesting a new block, but not stating how it's obtainable.
While this is a good suggestion, the only reason dyed wood isn't in the game is because of how much work would have to be done, and you can just change the colors with a few clicks. This would require actual work on all wood types, and if it was only one wood type, that would be pointless.
Although I do support this, it probably won't get added.
Support! Super cool idea, but it depends how it looks like. Would it look nooby? Would it look cool?
When describing the block, what do you mean by 'nooby and 'cool' and why would they have an effect otherwise (Though of course, the block should have a properly made texture)?
Nooby would look like dirt for a noob's house. Cool would mean a pro's house.
Yes, but how does the dirt in a noob's house look any different from the dirt in a pro's house? You still haven't really explained what makes a block "nooby" or "cool".

"Most plans are critically flawed by their own logic. A failure at any step will ruin everything after it. That's just basic cause and effect. It's easy for a good plan to fall apart. Therefore, a plan that has no attachment to logic cannot be stopped. The success or failure of any given step will have no impact on the macro level."

Thanks.
Very creative idea.
I love it

There's very little information, I'd like to see some textures and methods of obtaining, along with possible natural spawns first.
-1 for now.

Actually, someone built a dirt mansion in minecraft that looks absolutely beautiful.
Anyways, partial support. How do we obtain this? And I'd like some concept art.
