First I am still new to the game and only do single player survivor.
That being said I find the game gets a little boring after a while unless I am in a major construction fit. I was thinking the game could use some daytime encounters. Nothing too dangerious and rare when it happens.
Below are some ideas for daytime encounters.
1. a villager trader. He wanders near you looking to buy and sell items. This idea came up from my first game where the closest village was 5 game days away from my base. Either make it a normal type of villager or a generic trader type that would buy/sell many different items including the odd uncraftable ones.
2. Bandit group. maybe when generating a new bio have a bandit camp of 3 to 5 mobs randomly placed in it. until it is wiped out by the player. The bandits will attack him at odd times during the day. Once he destroys the spawner in their camp that Bio would be safe from them.
3 Odd daytime critters. Simple farm type animals not native to that bio may be encountered. no sheep around?...maybe one will wander by some day.
4. Uprooted villiagers. If you make some sort of villager spawner (make up a new craft recipie) and plant it in a few empty buildings a stray villiager may wander by and make it home. After you get 2 then it acts like a normal village.
5. Day time critters, Lion, bear, ect something to make a daylight walk in the woods interesting.
6. flock of geese/birds. a annoying encounter that will land near you wheat field and eat it unless you chase them away. make it 3 to 7 birds you have to kill or scare off (hit once). Dead birds could drop special feathers or something.
This is just a few random ideas to make the day more interesting for single players.
