I would like suggest a new kind of brick. When you touch the brick it would break.
Once the brick breaks it would be gone.
This would be good for a trap. If you were inside a pyramid and you stand on the brick it would vanish and you would fall in to the trap. (which could be lava)
This brick can not float.
The brick could be used to spawn a Sphinx by making a T shape of the breaking bricks and one head.
Woah. Aged 6 as in you're six years old? Anyway, this is really vague. Sphinx? What do you mean by that? Another thought I had was- I can see the "pitfall trap" trait of this, but this isn't possible if it can't float. Contradictory and rather vague. Potential Support.
I would like suggest a new kind of brick. When you touch the brick it would break. isn't that how blocks work?
Once the brick breaks it would be gone. also how blocks work
This would be good for a trap. If you were inside a pyramid and you stand on the brick it would vanish and you would fall in to the trap. (which could be lava) there are plenty of other ways to do this besides your new brick block
This brick can not float. but you just said that there would be a "floating" brick block over lava. you haven't though this idea through enough and now you're contradicting your own idea.
The brick could be used to spawn a Sphinx by making a T shape of the breaking bricks and one head. wait, but if you make a T shape, technically the blocks on the side would fall, contradicting your own idea again. but what kind of head as well? mob heads, player heads, wither skeleton heads? also the sphinx idea has nothing to do in Minecraft and this line has turned this post into a kind of wishlist
this would be Awesome!
Also, I don't even think you're allowed to make an account on the forums if you're six but judging by your grammar, either you're not 6 or your parents wrote that for you.
Your idea hasn't been thought through enough. Your idea and its uses are even contradicting itself. Think of these things:
- What is the name of the block?
- What is it going to look like?
- How would you craft it?
I assume this is a father or another family figure typing out his daughter/etc's suggestion. It's an interesting idea, similar to those falling blocks from Super Mario.
The first problem, as others have said, is this idea is vague. We want to know every detail, we want to know everything about the block. We want to know how it is crafted, what it would look like, and what the sphinx does and is like.
That said, I don't really like the idea because you can already sort of do the first part by using pistons. Unless its really hard to do, I don't like adding new stuff to make old stuff easier to do, because I think the game is more exciting when you have to work to design something. Think about it, what's more fun, using a ton of redstone and stuff to make an automatic farm, or a block which automatically farms for you? One is easier, but one is more interactive and rewarding to the player.

I've seen much worse. A bad suggestion is not synonymous with a rule-breaking suggestion. There are many low-quality suggestions that follow the suggestion format perfectly (exhibit A), as well as many good ones that break the rules using a wishlist or what have you.
As for the suggestion - it's basically sand that falls only when you touch it?
Also, I don't even think you're allowed to make an account on the forums if you're six but judging by your grammar, either you're not 6 or your parents wrote that for you. So 6 years old automatically equals bad grammar? Ok.... -snip-
Vague, kinda wishlisty, so No Support How is this wishlisty exactly?
This post bothered me so much.
As for the Suggestion, I like the idea of a pit trap, but a Sphinx? Could you explain a bit? Also, how is this crafted, what is it's name, etc? Minimal Support.
1. Do not put your age. It is pointless. (No offense, but just because you're 6 that doesn't mean your suggestion will be implemented.)
2. Ask yourself: Can this already be done ingame? This can already be built using sand/redsand/gravel/anvils/dragoneggs and some pretty basic redstoning.
3. Ask yourself: Do my ideas relate? If you have a few ideas that don't relate (Something like green trees and a creeper dungeon (and don't say they're related because they're green because they would not be based off of green.)) it is considered a wishlist and would be against the rules.
And also your suggestions just don't fit into Minecraft, so no support.

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
True, but couldn't a majority of these suggestions be done in game with command blocks? This suggestion is a more compact version of a sand system that does this.[/b]
Something being doable with other items already in the game which promote more creativity and thoughtful gameplay is a world a way from something being doable with cheats enabled.

this is super vague and very much a wish list both which are not allowed, but to say the best thing to do would make two threads one for both, next what is this item? a brick that you touch and it vanishes.

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
Did you even read the thread? This is not a wishlistl To make the sphinx, you need the blocks that were discussed.
this is a wish list, there is no detail what so ever. yes they said lets make a sphinx with these blocks what does it do? what does it look like? is it peaceful? there is no detail, this block vanishes if you touch it. how to you make it? what does it look like? then they said it can be used as a trap...
these are two separate things.....

This is definitely not a wishlist, but the Sphinx could be described a little bit more. Besides a crafting recipe and the inconsistency with the physics and how it would be used the block makes sense to me. A block that can disappear if you touch it (not mine it, just stand on or run into or stuff like that). If it was made to use normal physics of a Brick so it would float that would be better I think.
The Sphinx definitely needs a bit more, although all around I have seen ideas that were less thought out by people more than 3 times the OP's age (but age should not be posted, fyi)

Do you even know what a wishlist is? This suggestion describes one feature. In detail. Quite the opposite of a wishlist actually.
"Detail"

Can be done with commands, completely useless.
No support.
