This is an underground, single village iron golem farm. This farm has two 16X16 spawn platforms by exploiting the fact that iron golems can spawn on half slabs.
We've been using dual pad golem farms for quite some time now. Rather than use slabs in the corner, you can put a water source block one-block higher in the corner, and no source blocks in the 'spawn' plane corners or the block 'next' to the corners. However, in your design, you only have to place 4 water source blocks (per floor), where with the raised corner approach requires source blocks along the walls (excluding the last 2 spaces nearest the corners). So the only benefit I see is that you're placing slabs instead of extra water source blocks. in terms of server/game load and spawn efficiency, I don't think there's any difference.
I'll say this though; well done on the video; lighthearted intro, sound quality, fluidity of topic, clarity of explanation, etc. were spot-on. Keep at it!.
You actually helped me out about a year ago when I did my first iron farm, the layout of the doors on this farm was your idea! Great to hear from you again. I think you're talking about placing water all the way around the farm, that'd work but it's not quite as neat.
I thought the name was familiar. Good to see you're still playing as well. I actually like that you moved the light shaft to the corners, makes dealing with vertical stacking of farms simpler.
