Hi, my friends and I helped my dad make a Minecraft video for his band, the Benedict DollyRockers. The name of the song is Mountain Coal that they wrote and we had a lot of fun creating skins, and making scenes. I hope you like it as my dad quit his job so hopefully he can make some money with his band.
Wow, this is impressively good, I was not expecting something this well made when I clicked this post! I have a couple suggestions, because the music, acting, and everything was really superb, and I want you to go far with this.
So, for starters, the camera work was a bit jagged. Not worse than expected, seeing as you were using a normal Minecraft account and just moving around. This can be fixed quite easily by using the Replay Mod, by Crushed Pixel. It allows you to just hop on your world, do your acting, then just plot the path you want the camera to take afterwards. This also means one of the accounts won't be needed for recording, and you have an extra actor.
You can also do some cool stuff like camera tilts and 360° videos.
More information on that can be found here.
And secondly, separate it from Minecraft and it's "Lore". This isn't really that important if what you are trying to do is make a "Minecraft Music Video", but what I see here is a group of people cleverly using Minecraft as a canvas for their art.
Let me elaborate a bit on this. At 2:30, the creeper face. Up until this point, I was drawn into a whole new world than that of my own, a place where poor coal miners worked hard all day, and sometimes all night, just to help their families get by. It was unlike any Minecraft music video I've ever seen, focusing on using Minecraft to tell the story, rather than using the story to tell Minecraft. But the creeper face didn't fit in. It buzzed me back into seeing it as it is, just a game.
Of course, these are just my opinions. If you enjoy making Minecraft-y videos with creepers and Herobrine and such, that's all up to you. You and your group are the creators. Make what you enjoy! Either way, you have gained my support
