After finally beating Terraria, about 150 hours worth (I've lost count how many hours I've put into Minecraft...), I can finally critically assess the two side by side. Here is a tribute video I made: Minecraft vs Terraria.
I do too. That's the point of the video. It's a celebration of the two games. I could finally make a video like this because I've always liked Minecraft since beta, but I've only recently beat Terraria.
I think overall Minecraft is still my favorite but Terraria is also one of the best games I have ever played. And I played it pretty much like a more fun version of Diablo, versus Minecraft, which I played as a lego simulator.

They are both totally different games. Minecraft is also older than Terraria. Who cares which one is better, personal preference for both games.
I agree. This video is more of a parody of those type of videos.
It compare and contrasts the two games, rather than pit the 2 together in a subjective battle to see which one is better.
