Have you ever went mining for diamonds and then all you find is coal? In this tutorial you will learn how to turn the boring old coal ore into a shining diamond ore! In real life diamonds are compressed coal, so if we expose a coal ore to heat and high preassure it will turn into a diamond ore. It is recommended that you watch the following video before you continue to read.
In order to do this you are going to need some items. You will need five pistons, 5 levers, flint and steel/lava bucket and a coal ore(the coal ore can be obtained by mining a coal ore with a silk touch pickaxe). Once you have these items you have to make the machine that is going to compress the coal ore. Follow the schemtaic below when you build the machine:
P=Piston, []=Air, C=Coal ore

NOTE: There has to be a piston below the coal ore as well!
When you have build the machine climb on top of it and set the visible part of the coal ore on fire. All you have to do now is to wait for the coal to compress. This process usually takes about 3.3 billion years. I hope you found this tutorial helpful!
If you look at the video from youtube you will see that I intended for this to be a joke...
I didn't say so here because I thought it was obvious. :/
You can spin this joke in a better direction. Redo the title and set this up as a "guide" to a gag to fool players friends. The video's cut is still pretty obvious but you can still fool some people. I'm sure there's a way you can get a better transition that seems smooth but I can't really think of how to at the moment.
If this was intended to be a joke, then why a thread for it?
Just because I could, really. I posted this on PMC as well, and they all had a good laught, so I thought "maybe they will enjoy it on Minecraftforums as well?"
The reason I posted this at all is because I thought how wierd it would be if Minecraft was like real life, and diamonds really could be made the way it is made IRL.

Thank you for your tip, but I don't really see how "guide" and "how to" are different.
The rules for Minecraft Forum is that all videos should be posted in the Video Receptacle Thread. If you created the video yourself, it goes to the User Creations & Requests forum. Bad thing is Minecraft related videos are not allowed in either place.
Which means I did the right thing when I posted this in the discussion section, so what are you trying to tell me?
