Please don't promote PVP packs.

All PVP packs are, are packs containing stolen textures taken from other packs then mixed together with the mixer often them taking credit for 'making' the pack.

As a creator of a pack that has been found in PVP packs it is like a big slap in the face to see work that we have spent months on, often taking hours to make a single texture just right to have it all ripped from us, mixed in with other stolen textures and then someone elses name getting slapped on it and praised.

How would you feel to work on a video for youtube, a big project that's taken you many days to make and perfect, upload it for others to see... then someone else download it, rip it apart, and re-upload it with their name on it and all signs of you gone. Worse.. they could be making money off your hard work, taking full credit for making -everything- in it.

This sort of thing is theft, it is also ILLEGAL, and a copyright Infringement, and we pack owners have been fighting long and hard to get this sort of content, and these mixed packs taken down from youtube. Before such a task use to be easy, anyone could report the videos and they would be taken down with the offending account gaining a copyright strike against them (three strikes and your accounts terminated), but sense Google took over youtube, doing such is a nightmare and has allowed the site to be a masive pirate bay for stolen works. Youtube also made special deals with the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) to not get sued when illegal content is uploaded.

In fact our own terms of use ends up going against us. Many of us pack owners allow people to make videos or lets plays using our textures. That however don't give permission to take our work and remix it with others works and then slap their name on it. Youtube, and Google however don't see any harm in people making VIDEOS of such, however when they start offering a download link, often behind a pay link, youtube again wont do squot, as their reporting is for the video only, not the contex or links they put out.

So please do the right thing, remove this video and don't support these stolen packs. You'd honestly do a lot better and get way more praise highlighting the issue of these stolen packs and why they are wrong and shouldn't be allowed to roam freely on youtube, the only place these people have found to get away with such theft.


Remember, would you like someone to take one of your videos and take credit for all the 'work' to make it? To upload it with their name on it and get all the praise? Then don't support the textureers variant of it, don't support people whom steal our hard work.

Infringement can be punished by law including but not limited to recovery of monetary losses, punitive damages and/or misdemeanor or criminal prosecution.

PLAGIARIZE

To take the works of another person and attempt to pass them off as one's own. A plagiarist poses as the original creator of words or images that were originally created by someone else. [A plagiarist can also be a copyright violator by taking credit for work that is copyrighted]

USE

Copyright infringement occurs when intellectual property is used without permission or without following the stipulated "terms of use". Use is defined as the copying, distributing, adapting, or publicly displaying a work without the permission of the copyright holder.
