So, I have been watching Etho on Youtube for quite some time now, and I have gotten into recording lately and I have been posting some Youtube videos. Now, I'm wondering how Etho renders his videos because it seems that my Minecraft video quality doesn't match his, but I know for a fact that mine are a bit laggy because of some reason I don't know, but I'm fine with.
Like I've searched up "How to render Minecraft videos with Sony Vegas" because that's what most Minecraft Youtubers use and that's what I use. so how do I get it to be like their's?
Please help, I am in need of greater quality, here is one of my videos:
First thing to remember about capturing/rendering good quality videos deals with your computer specs. From the video you listed above I believe they are really good, so no worries their. Next, before you go buying another video recording software check to see if all your graphics cards/etc are updated. This will optimize your game performance, especially in minecraft.
More Things to Check:
1. How much memory is allocated for Minecraft.exe
2. How much RAM/processors are allocated for your video recording software(You can ignore this if you use an external game capture device)
3. Also, your videos are in 720p. I'm assuming your monitor size is larger than 720x(variable).
4. Is your Java updated to the current update? (If you get a developer .jdk it's much faster)
[One thing to mention I am on a PC.]
MODS THAT REDUCE LAGG LIKE OPTIFINE HELP IN VIDEO RECORDING!!! Reducing the number of mods helps too
Capturing the Video:
* The difference is between the video recording software you use. FRAPS is supposedly better at longer videos, while others are more specialized depending on their video codecs purpose. Also, make sure you research the video encoder type you use, some recordings might not be able to be edited in a video editing program, like in Sony Vegas, Premiere Pro, and etc.
Recorders I recommend:
Fraps, Bandicam, NCH Video Capture. (I currently use Bandicam, there are also many free/demo video recorder softwares out there.
Rendering the Video:
*This depends on the software you use to edit your captured video, as "raw gameplay" can have very large file sizes. I currently have no experience with Sony Vegas. From your video the max video option is 720p. If you have a bigger monitor than that, but is under the "1080p" width, then heavy scaling will have to be done to reach the 1080 mark.
Youtube Dimensions: (Check the size of your current monitor)
Your monitor size will fall on/between these categories. If you want to create higher quality videos and you have a small monitor. I suggest getting a better monitor or heavily processing your video to reach that desired size. One quick note if you decide to scale your video up to a higher size there will be loss/blurry pixels images. That is my basic suggestions on what you can do to get video to ETHOS LAB's rendering stuff.
Click mah signature! To see what video scaling/heavy processing looks like. Results may vary from user to user. IDK why I am even up right now
