For those of you starting off on YouTube, like myself, I would recommend using Windows Live Movie Maker for editing to start. It's free and it works.
Another great tip neonerz gave me is high quality video, here are my basic computer specs.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GZ
RAM 12GB
System Type: 64-bit
