I didn't notice the flickering leaves until after I had rendered it all out, and I didn't want to have to try and fix it and then take another ~8 hours to render on my slow machine. You're definitely right, some grass would have looked nice, and maybe a flower or two, it's really the little details that make a video (or anything for that matter) stand out.
I notice you know TigerNDV, I'm actually doing some (terrible) voice acting for him in his webseries.

BTW: How did you get the animation to follow the real vid, frame by frame?
No, that would be nearly impossible. It's the new camera tracking feature in blender, you just track 8 or more points in your video, enter in your camera info, and it matches the 3D camera with how the camera moved in real life. Here is a link to a channel where you can watch the "Track, Match, Blend!" dvd for free. Although some stuff has changed in blender since that video, most of the concepts are the same.
