Nice , I did something similar, well using the height as an advantage, but I found out that any mobs that spawn that are more than 35. Blocks from you don't move. I saw a tutorial like this. I plan to build it in my survial world. It's gonna be in the middle of the ocean ( I'm making it at sea level because of ascetics) so I think I have 35% of the cave lite up, at the minimum, so is it going to produce decent rates ( I need tnt)?

Yep, you're right. Outside of 32 blocks mobs won't move but since this system doesn't require them to walk off an edge I think it should still work.

If you use just the spawner and don't build the tower up 128 above sea level it should behave just like any other mob farm. If you build it at sea level and only have 35% lit up definitely build more than one level.
