Have you ever wanted to journey through the entire world of Middle Earth, dig in the mines of Moria or surmount the fiery slopes of Mt. Doom? Well now it's possible. I've been working on creating a digital Middle Earth height map for over ten years. My Middle Earth map is a 1 to 1 scale model and it can be exported out to any size height map. With the 256 block height limitation of MineCraft my map is currently set to 16382x16382x256. At the moment we are working on building the plants, rocks, bushes and trees that will inhabit Middle Earth. The next step will be to create the biomes of Middle Earth and paint them in with an awesome program called WorldPainter. Here is the demo video of Digital Middle Earth MineCraft (dmemc):
