Rillian here with a video about my latest creation, La Maison en Toile. Since I already wrote out all of the information in the description of the video, I'll share that here for ease of access:
La Maison en Toile - A Modernist House.
This was designed, built, and furnished over the course of a month by myself, Jovan Millet (xRILLIANx in game).
It took about 2 weeks to design floor plans [which you can view here (http://i.imgur.com/9DXod.png) and here (http://i.imgur.com/lS7Pu.png)], and get them straight out of game. Then another week to get the scale right in Minecraft to be able to get everything I wanted into the game. Then a few days to actually build, and another two weeks to completely furnish.
The house is entirely black and white, and fits the name. "La Maison en Toile" is French, and translates to "The Canvas House", because it is as white as a canvas.
This is built in my own architectural subset of Modernism, which I call "Cuboid Modernism", based around the idea that the building is designed from a whole bunch of squares, rectangles, and boxes that form complex shapes.
This house contains:
Entry Hall
Living Room
Kitchen
Dining Room (Casual, and State)
Breakfast Room and Back Porch
Study/Library
Solarium
Master Bedroom and 3 Guest Bedrooms
Master Study
4-and-a-half bathrooms
Backyard with pool and yacht
"La Maison en Toile" is under the sole ownership of Jovan Millet, in-game name xRILLIANx, built on The Voxel Box server. Minecraft is under the copyright of Mojang. Palceon Pack is under the copyright of The Voxel Box. Music is made and under the copyright of Kevin MacLeod.
