Okay, maybe I'm not that creepy, I just felt like starting this off as funny as I can.
Anyways, long story short, I want to make Minecraft Machinimas and other fun things for a YouTube channel, but so far every group I've tried joining breaks up within the first few days. So here's the thing, I can't make this stuff alone, I need someone who's comedy is just as terrible as mine.
Here's a few ground rules for anyone looking to join me though, nothing insane though and most of them are negotiable, just not 2, that's a requirement.
All persons wishing to join must be 18 years of age or older. I'm not saying anyone younger than that can't do great things, but I'm 22 years old, so if I get caught recording anything with a kid, let's just say Keemstar will find me and mess me up even if it's just Minecraft. If you're just turning 18 though in like a few weeks, maybe I can make an exception.
You don't have to be LGBT, you don't have to be PC, but I myself am LGBT and I'd appreciate it if you either tolerated it or just didn't bring it up unless it's really, really, really funny. Feel free to make LGBT jokes, but don't be a jerk for the sake of being a jerk.
This is a given, but you need a decent microphone. I'm not saying you need a blue yeti or something that costs a bunch of cash, but I am asking that I can hear you well enough in a decent quality that can be understood. I myself am using a Blue Ice Snowball, which is pretty good, but I don't expect everyone to have one of those.
Discord is where we'll be chatting. Not Skype. Not Team Speak. Not the in game chat. Discord. Why? Because it's good.
If you don't have audacity, get it, so you can record any lines yourself. I'll explain the rules of using audacity if you get accepted. But if you have another voice to mp3 recorder, use that instead. I just say Audacity because it's free.
You must be able to run Minecraft with mods and at least 2 Gigabytes allocated to the game. I already have a technic modpack, so no need to download a bunch of mods by hand.
My internet is not the absolute best, so you must be able to tolerate lag if I run a server. It's not too bad anymore since I got an upgrade, but it's still not the best. You can complain if it's funny, but that's it.
You don't need any amount of subscribers, I honestly don't care how many you have. In fact, don't even tell me how many you have or send a link to your channel until after you get accepted into the group.
There will be a live audition which I will record to review and see if you are a good enough candidate. If you are accepted, please prepare some sort of monologue or speech that you would use during the audition. I don't mind if it's from a TV show, I don't care if you have the transcript open on one screen while auditioning, just say the lines as you would naturally, and I'll review it to see your voice quality.
Sadly, I'm not multilingual, so you must speak mostly English when recording unless the script calls for otherwise.
