Sadly, it took me rendering 50 episodes to figure out that the manner in which I was saving the video files in Windows Movie Maker was the root cause of why all the videos were not HD quality. From here on out, expect all episodes to appear in HD.
The library construction is concluded in this episode, and I begin work on constructing all the bookcases. Something that was recommended to me by one of my viewers is to make an automated sugar cane harvester, which I agree would greatly help me out in getting all the materials I need. So expect to see me take on that project soon! I'll also be working on much BIGGER projects, so if you have any ideas please let me know!
After completion of the library, I realize that I'll need some nice enchanting tables to go along with it. And what do those need? Diamond! And obsidian... which requires more diamond. Needless to say, the hunt is on!
Based on viewer feedback, I'll be working on bigger and more complicated projects. The first project will help me become more familiar working with redstone by building a sugar cane harvester. This episode is the first part to that process.
I would suggest editing your channel so that it'll be easier for others to watch your videos.
I appreciate the feedback and the sub! I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to YouTube, but I think I figure out how to make the channel landing page better. I didn't realize the landing page defaulted to that bad layout design...
More work on the sugar can harvester. I also realized while watching this video that I totally left out a section of sugar cane Expect that to be fixed in the next episode!
More work on the sugar cane harvester. This time I realize that I'm very much short on building supplies. To save everyone the annoyance of watching me harvest oodles of materials, I've chosen to do all of that off-camera. Expect the next episode to include much more building.
I continue work on the building surrounding the sugar cane harvester, and this time I actually come well prepared with materials! Well, somewhat prepared at least... The harvester is nearly finished. I just need to add a second row of pistons to maximize the harvest yield.
you need to learn to adjust the volume of your voice when you talk to make it more interesting. other than that good job.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I tend to fall into monotone since I'm not quite used to doing so much talking. I'll try and work on that in future videos.
I realize that the sugar cane harvester would yield more (and work better) if it were one block longer. In the future, I plan to put more thought into my designs before I start so projects don't drag out so long. I plan to have the harvester finished next episode.
I took a week off from recording to focus on some other stuff, but now I'm back! For this episode, I focus on some minor home renovations and also discover a surprise lurking in the abandoned mineshaft...
I've been slacking on the updates to this topic recently as my family took numerous vacations over the summer. To help catch everyone up, here's episodes 62-68:
Corbin joins me once again as we build our own house in the desert village. We would also like to build some automation around the wheat farms to help us when trading with the villagers; so for that we'll need to search for redstone!
Episode 69 - Hello Mr. Wheat-Emerald
Episode 70 - In Search of Redstone
Also, I'll be changing this series to a MWF release schedule. This will allow me to begin working on another series while keeping this one going. Please let me know what you think of these newer episodes!
Synopsis:
My son, Corbin, joins me once again as we venture into the depths underground by the surface dungeon we discovered. Where will this rabbit hole lead us, and will we find redstone along the way?
Just started watching this series and it is excellent for relative beginners (noobs) like me - would definitely recommend it. Hopefully as the series progresses so will I!!
Thanks zclay. Will et you know about the newer episodes when I get to them.
Thanks for the kind words Stepper_T! I'm happy you're enjoying the series!
Synopsis:
More cave exploring (this time with materials to help keep us alive during the adventure). Watch as Corbin and I fall silent together while navigating the depths, holding our collective breaths in anticipation of what might be lurking around the next corner...
I continue to build the roof for the library and... well, I try to provide some fun commentary along the way.

The race to finish my sugar cane harvester continues! And as much as I try and prepare, let's just say that I still fall a few resources short....
