I didn't know where else I could get help with this.
My server (EverVoid open beta) is having the all-to-common problem of player retention, and the main problem is that the server has a large resource pack. Which makes one of the plugins look amazing with 3d models and without the resource pack the plugin is almost unusable because all the items would look the same. Players with slow computers will time out before they even get to play and will usually just give up and leave the server forever. All of my staff is either always busy with their own stuff or not able to record at a good frame rate.
If you want to join my server out of curiosity the IP is "evervoid.mcserv.co" the version is "1.12.2"
ok straight to the point, I need a video which will teach players how to convert a server resource pack into a normal resource pack, I have looked all over youtube and google and I have not found a single good youtube video teaching players how to do it easily. Here are the steps for doing so.
Go to.minecraft\server-resource-packs move all files inside there to a temporary folder
join a server that has a resource pack and let it download
(There will now be only 1 file in .minecraft\server-resource-packs)
move the only file from .minecraft\server-resource-packs to.minecraft\resourcepacks and rename it to packname.zip
go back to Minecraft and enable the new resource pack go to the server in your multiplayer list and set "resource pack" to "disabled"
transfer the files from the temporary folder back to .minecraft\server-resource-packs (optional)
join the server and show off that it works
A mic is recommended but not entirely required
A youtube account for uploading the video
A recording program and computer which can record a decent quality video at a steady 30 fps or higher
I would suggest uploading the recording to youtube and then sending me a link to that video (or someone else's video if you find one.)
I forgot to add the step where you transfer the server resource packs back from the temporary folder to the server resource packs folder, you can just do that after all the other steps.
