I'm thinking about starting a minecraft YouTube channel, it's something I've wanted to do for a while but never seemed to just do. I'm nervous though and maybe some of you guys can answer my questions
*note* I want to do some modded survival that will Mix adventure and building since no one seems to build things in a modded survival.
-how do you get out of your comfort zone and talk to a camera?
"How do you get out of your comfort zone and talk to a camera?"
-I've, in the past before when I wasn't comfortable with it, took a sticky note and cut out the area for the camera, and drew a smiley face on it with the camera in the middle as the nose. I talked to it as if it was just another person and acted like there wasn't anything to worry about.
"What is a content type that there isn't much of?"
Well, Modpacks are generally popular as well as almost anything minecraft related but some things that are very unique are mostly tutorials for servers that are popular. Stuff like "How to get more money on prison servers easy"
Anything of that sort, although, it may not fit you so you might just want to stick with generally popular stuff.
"What do you guys like to see?"
Well, thats a question that goes over a big range of categories. For example, I like factions, towny, prison or skyblock. Anything more is just extra and unnecesary to me, although, others might like something of a different sort.
"How can you focus on the game and speaking?" Well, the easiest thing with that is either writing yourself a script, or playing some ambient music in the back such as NCS with the volume really low. Or having the game volume all the way up and no music, it really depends on what you prefer yourself.
Thanks! Your advise really helps. I want to do a modpack I made with some mods nobody seems to use except maybe the people who are on trollcraft. The issue is it's survival and even though there aren't many modded survivals out there that are super entertaining, there are still a lot out there. What should I do if I want to go the modded survival route?
Well, try to keep your videos short, nobody likes long episodes, don't drone on about a specific topic. Edit a funny clip from that episode right before your intro so that your viewers have something to go off of for the episode. Something funny or anything that'll intrigue them and make them have a hunger for more. Make them want more. Make sure you mostly explain what you're doing and what the modpack is about but don't stay on a single subject for too long. The viewers want to know more about what you're doing if anything, if you're sitting there doing something and nobody knows what you're doing it'll be boring. As long as you show their viewers that they're there with you to experience as if they were walking and building alongside you, you can really keep their attention.

Most popular minecraft youtubers plays with atleast one other person, (although there are exceptions, like DanTDM, yet even he has an imaginary in-game friend, lol).
Getting Past the stress Of Being On Camera is the part I can Talk the most about. Here Is what you should do, If you are able to force yourself through makings the videos for the first few times it becomes easier over time, You just have to believe in yourself and believe that your content is worth sharing with the world.
For you, Second question, With Minecraft The only Possible Diffrecanting Factor You will Find is someone's personality, and the specific way they create content, so you Need to start creating content before you really worry about differentiate yourself because being true to who you are is the best may yo make unique content.
To Answer the third question the Content I want to see is your videos now. You already Got a superFan From Me, So I'll Subscribe as soon as you launch.
For the final question. The truth is you mostly Focus on Talking, But you get better at both With a lot of Practice
Lastly, I Just want to say I'm Pretty New to youtube, but I Just Finished recording 110 Videos (still need to edit them, though), So I Think I Know what
I'm Doing If you Ever feel like it would be easier to talk to a person than a camera Than I am willing to Collab at any point in time.
