I just want to capture the sounds coming from my game and microphone on a separate track and be able to hear the game sound through my headset!
Example: I use OBS to record my game play only. I then use Audacity to record my voice with my headphone mic. However I continue to run into horrible issues.
Issue one: Audacity picks up the game sound coming from the microphone as I talk. (I playback the game sound through my speakers loud because my headset muffles the game audio and I need to hear the game as well. I can't get this headset ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E58IEB4/ref=twister_B01N4P8FZ8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) to be the playback and voice recorder at once.)
Issue two: My headset/ microphone is unable to play the game sound in my headset, therefore I wear a non-working headset mearly for the microphone. I would love to hear the game only through my headset rather then having my speakers super high.
Issue three: I can't find a way separately capture game play audio in its own track and nothing else.
TLDR: Need a way to capture game sound only/in it's own audio track. Need a way to capture Audacity voice recording only/in it's own audio track. Need a way to make game sound play only through my headset which happens to have the microphone attached to it as well. Please help! I've been trying for two days and I'm going nuts!
You can use OBS to capture both Game underline and Mic Audio at the same time on Multi-Track I use Adobe Auditions and Premiere for my editing and they have no issues, underlinecannot say that I have used Audacity but can't imagine it will struggle with anything.

Making Game Sound play through your Headset:
First go into your Microphone settings, and make sure the right "Playback" option was chosen.
ALSO, be sure to disable your speakers. Otherwise it won't work.
The game sound should now be playing through your headset.
