First off, hello! My friend and I are going to begin an SMP server similar to MindCrack or Hermit Craft, and we need more people to join! You must be at least 16 and have a YouTube channel as well as a Skype. Also, I know personally how difficult it can be to find people to collaborate with as well as to find an audience, so I have established a Google+ community dedicated to Minecraft Fans and Tubers. For fans, we have general discussion, an area to upload build pictures, as well as redstone builds and ask the community, and the Community also has a tab for finding collab partners 14 and under and 15 and over, so you can find individuals near your age. It's a relatively new community, so it's small, but I made it in order to help every small channel!
