Hello. I currently in need of a suitable recording software. I am running on a mac, so I am not able to use PC only products. I have tried to use wine and things like that but they have not worked out. I have also used quicktime player and voila. They were ok... But I need a better recording software. Since both of them just lagged me out... I am willing to pay at a price of up to $20.. or maybe a little more idk.
So any suggestions!???!!!

If you download xsplit broadcaster, you can both stream or use a thing called 'Local Recording'. This allows you to record your videos. You can only record at 720px30fps but if you buy it, you can record in 1080px60fps max, assuming your computer can handle it.
Like the others say; OBS, in my opinion, is one of the best. Easy to use hotkeys, 1080p, and options to capture certain programs so it never gets your desktop in the video. It's also great if your looking to stream on Twitch!
Sorry for late notice but its in this little file in the Broadcast Settings
FilePath: C:\Users\Jon_PC\Desktop\Channel\Captures\Untittes.mp4 This is mine you must name it something, then put .mp4. Not .avi because with OBS I think it doesn't support AVI.

Fraps if the above doesn't run on your computer.
Build Planes, Boats, Cars, Airships and fight!
Open Broadcasting System FTW It come has a lot of good features.
I use OBS due to the frame rate and very good quality just look up settings for OBS.
OBS can record in any size or resolution.
Fraps drops frames.
Xsplit free version kinda sucks and only allows up to 720p

But with OBS For some reason how do I make it so I can change the video file type after I record?
