The Cubic Cauldron is a relaxed, friendly community playing on a Vanilla SMP server formed by independently motivated streamers and youtubers who come together to create cooperative YouTube content (not exclusively Minecraft) and grow their channels together.
10 members strong, we are looking for a few fun and reliable content producers to invite to the community as we continue "season 2," currently in Minecraft 1.8.1, but likely to be updated to newest version soon.
The Requirements
(We don't expect everyone to be able to meet *all* of these requirements, so it's possible to compensate for not meeting them all with sheer awesomeness.)
•Be 18 and older.
•50+ youtube subscribers (you can have fewer if you compensate with an archive of good quality content)
•Upload one or more videos a week (on average) with archive of videos that shows this
•Must be capable of reliably producing content on your own, not be dependent on others for motivation or ideas.
•Should also be able and willing to participate in the creation of cooperative content.
•High quality content (good audio, decent fps in HD)
•Most content should be in English
•Be mature, polite, respectful and considerate with other members.
•No griefing, stealing, etc.
•No use of mods like X-Ray, hacked clients, or spawning in items, etc.
The Application:
Apply with a Video application of your own making, about 5 minutes long (10 mins max), showcasing your personality, creativity, building talent, redstone genius or all around originality; basically, all the good stuff that makes you so damn awesome!
Do try to include:
* Your IGN, age and gender
* Make it about 5 mins long (10 minutes max, please)

You will be contacted on Skype if you progress to the "interview process", which is mostly casual chatting to figure out whether or not you're a good fit, personality wise. We're an easy going bunch, but sometimes it just doesn't click.

I personally haven't had the opportunity to watch them yet, but I will point out that the official deadline for submissions is June 30th 2015... so, if at any point you feel you have better video ideas, or better builds doodads or whatnot to showcase, or simply get a better mic or editing software or who knows... you can submit a new and/or update video app at a later date. The most recent video application will be the one that counts.
Just saying this since I took a couple weeks to complete video apps those times I had to make some myself. You have about six weeks to work with, here, so it might be advantageous to make the best of that time.

hold up! we have till June 30th!? thats like 48 days! do you guys really think THAT much time is necessary? I thought it was till 30th May, well i guess i misheard somtn in the video. Actually 48 days might not be that bad.. Scratch everything i said!
Allowing more than a month is fair. It allows us enough time to spread the message to more potential applicants, while also giving said applicants enough time to create a video app that will set them apart from the pack and demonstrate they have ideas.
Last time I did a vid app myself, I took about two weeks to plan it, record and edit it to ensure it would be a standout. I had accurately predicted that the average applicant would record themselves talking about themselves while walking around in a single player world, so I knew I'd have to come up with something original that could best showcase what I could bring to the table. It worked.
Well, from what i know, they're gonna check the applications at the end, when the applications cannot be sent anymore. So somewhere after the 30th June I would guess is when we find out if were accepted
