Hello im DarkCoal (YT) aka Dubz1 (mc) and i want to know what are some tips to get a youtube channel started? for example, how do i gain views or likes? stuff like that please leave a comment below on any tips you have
If you want views, you can try to be original, and do a whole bunch of stuff trying to get the views but in the end, let's face it, none of us small YouTubers are going anywhere. The successful individuals will grow and the number of people striving for that success will grow and drown each other out. What I recommend is that you should get into YouTube to have some fun, and post your stuff on the MC Forums and Reddit so people can see your stuff and you can get some feedback and grow a small community, but don't expect any success, just enjoy it. Do whatever the hell you want to record. I know that this is exactly what you don't want to hear but I feel we all need to accept it, there is no secret recipe for success, believe me I've tried them all.
NP. And also just have fun, Youtube popularity doesn't happen overnight, Just keep uploading even if you arent super popular, You will get there. Maybe we can make a vid together. Im looking for someone to do a Let's Play

Before I say anything, I'd like to say that I'm any better than you or anything like that and I'm not the one to talk, but you asked for advice and I'm just talking from a viewer's perspective:)
The first thing that I noticed is that you have nice thumbnails, but your banner doesn't really look too nice.
I clicked on your first video and I liked the intro, but you don't really act excited in your videos.. maybe try and pick up the volume on your voice!
The last video that you uploaded the minigame the walls was a good episode I mainly liked it more because there were more people, just try and cut the video down into pieces.
But I do like the quality of your videos
*note* I only watched the first few minutes of those two episodes.

I really did enjoy the SMP you did but the only that bothers me. (Ocd) is the fact that it's a little laggy when you break blocks. It's probably just the server

Not true.. You can get popular, Just make videos people like, Not octodad videos like somebody I know on this forum

Please dont say that im not super popular, I never said I was and coming from you.. Come on really, 270 subs aint nothing to be proud of my man My friends been doing videos for a month on games people like and he has 12000+ subs. So, Thanks for that input

Try to avoid doing stuff like, Vanilla survival series, do something different and make something that you're proud of.
Reach out to other people, message some people with the same amount of subs that you have asking for collabs, it's a good way to grow and meet people.
Look for a community, SMP's and stuff.
Remember that being a popular content producer doesn't happen overnight, don't get discouraged, you will make it!
