Hey guys, I'm Chad, and I'm starting up a huge project. Before I get into the details of this project, I just want to clarify a few things. One, there will be no subscriber limit to participating in this event. It doesn't matter to me if your famous, or don't have a single video if you can heavily contribute to this project. Two, this is going to be a long project over a month or so. This means I'm looking for people who can put a decent amount of time into this.
Now, lets talk about "this". The project is going to be a PVP series. An undetermined amount of teams will face each other in a multi-episode war series. The goal of this series will be for these said teams to exterminate the other teams. Each participant has one life. Once all participants on a team are dead, their team is exterminated. To avoid early deaths, each team will spawn together in a NPC village. Each NPC village will be spread out from each other, and be close to "Objectives". An Objective will be a place a team can go to find early resources/tools. Each objective may have resources scattered around, a challenge, or hidden resources. Clues to where these objectives are will be on signs in the team's NPC village. Objectives eliminate the need to gather early resources. They also create landmarks, and teams may find each other going for the same objective to create early action in this series. After a team clears out an objective, they can either hunt down another team, or create a base and start collecting higher tier resources.
I'm going to break up this huge project into different teams that will work together to get this done.
Management Team - Managers will make sure all teams are working together to create a unified map. They can also add their input to other teams. Filming Team - Filmers will be invisible in the world during the event. They will follow around a team (flying) recording. All filmers must use fraps at 30 fps with full quality minecraft settings. This way there is no difference from Filmer to Filmer. They can also add their input to other teams. Objective Creation Team - Objective creators will make up objectives and build them. These will have to be high quality builders who can work together on a common goal. Balancing Team - This team will make sure each objective will be even with the amount of resources. This doesn't mean the same resources for each objective, but a fair amount of a resource. We don't want a team to win just because the objective they went to was stacked. They will make sure each objective will have resources that correspond with the theme of the objective. They will also be responsible for what each player starts out with. This could be tools, armor, food, etc. They could even go to make each member of a team start out with different stuff. They will be in charge of placing ores around the map, so teams don't power mine the whole series. Mapping Team - This team is in charge of objective placement. They will also reform the shape of the map to create interesting pvp environments. Examples: long plains for vision between objectives, dense woods to hind in, cave system that has multiple entrances for teams to clash in while trying to mine, etc.
The map itself will be made in a LARGE circle made with bedrock and we will build up. The map won't be as deep as a normal minecraft map due to not having to mine as much. All teams will work on the creation of the base of the map.
To apply for a team, or multiple, just comment what your interested in, and message me your skype and gmail. I will be sending out update emails, and we will have a large group on skype we will type in.
