Hey guys! When I started YouTube my intial plan was to upload daily.
I can record every single day except, I usually record when my family
is out to reduce background noise and because I do swear in my videos
from time to time and my humor isn't exactly "PG". Also, I'm quite
uncomfortable recording while day can hear me. I live in a small appartment
with only one bedroom. SO HERE'S MY QUESTION. Does anyone know a way
I can somewhat sound proof my voice? Or even the room? Im not looking
to spend any money, just using household materials. I also have a closet but it's
filled with clothes. I think I'm going to have to record in the bedroom. Any advice or
Tips on soundproofing my voice would be a major help! Thanks!
Well, the question is what microphone do you use? Also, have you tried using a free program called "audacity"? I use it to record audio and such and it's great. I do my best to sync my audio with my recorder so the audio sounds more crisp and clear. Now, Mostly the reason why I got good quality cause I use a Blue Snowball. Other then that, in order to remove background noise you need to get a pop filter. It helps reduce the noise plus makes your voice sound better and has good quality.
depends if you want to do commentary style or live style. If you're going to do commentary style, you can just record without any voice, than take your laptop (if you have one) somewhere else and record your voice than put it together with the many free ediding programs out there.
If you live in an apartment, which most are known for paper thin walls between OTHER apartments, you're not getting anything near soundproof in your room. So theres one bedroom and your entire family lives there? I have a massive room downstairs and the hanging ceiling is pretty much soundproof for any kind of audio/vocals. Unless you can pay a contractor to sound proof your walls, record the audio later or something.
