Clear blue-shaded ripples. You look at them for a while and try to stare through, see the depths. You realize it’s futile and give up; the ocean is very deep at this point.
You take a deep breath, and look around. There isn’t a whole lot to see. A single tree stands only a few steps behind you, and a few steps after that your ground stops and the beautiful sea begins. If only it didn’t surround you, that would’ve made it that much prettier to look at.
No memory comes to mind when you think of how you got here, but you can vaguely see you’re not alone. In the distance you spot another island, with a small black figure actively moving around. The other island looks quite like yours, they actually seem even.
You continue looking around, puzzled by your situation. Another island! This one also seems exactly the same. This time it’s to your left, in a 90 degree angle from the other island. On this island there also is a small black shadow scurrying around, though not as surefooted as the other.
Slowly it dawns on you. You’re stranded. No food. No water. No shelter. The only thing of use to you is the tree behind you. Looking back at the other islands, both trees have disappeared. You think you can spot a small sapling in the spot of the tree on one of the other islands, though you’re not sure.
The surefooted black figure stops moving, and turns around to face you. You can’t see his eyes or face, but you feel malicious intent. They have to survive with no food or water as well. You may become the next meal, you realize.
No more time to waste. You turn around and start punching the tree, hoping for something more then just wood. Hopefully a sapl- you hear a whizzing and turn around to find an arrow lodged in your chest.
And maybe... Just maybe...

Hello and welcome to Project Apple! This map is a PvP survival arena that hearkens back to Minecraft's basic gameplay of creativity and survival. The design is somewhat based on a combination of The Walls and Survival Island, in that players are separated by an obstacle (in this case water) and must survive on their islands while being vigilant to avoid dying to the other players. This is at its heart a PvP experience, and the last man standing wins! This map is designed around a 1v1v1v1 experience but it works perfectly well for 2v2v2v2 as well!
You can do essentially anything you could normally do in vanilla MineCraft, from hoarding and building to finding TNT and blasting everyone to bits! There's even the possibility of enchanting your armor if you are creative enough.
There's only one rule: Do not attempt to escape the arena via the glass on the ceiling! It ruins the whole point of the map.
You are welcome to do any recording you'd like with this map (YouTube, Twitch.tv, or otherwise), but please put a link to this thread in the description of your video. You are also welcome to add this map to any server you choose as long as appropriate credit (signs with the thread location and/or our names) is given.
