I have been wondering for some time about creating gameplay videos for my new youtube account, but of course as an eleven year old it would be difficult to get any recognition on there. Does anyone on here, have any tips/advice for me going into making youtube videos? I understand all that is required, such as recording software (I have Fraps), decent hardware for minimum lag, my main concern is finding advice for the content/editing and such.
a few tips I have learned during my time on Youtube"
1. always put your best effort into it.
2. Listen to your fans, take lots of suggestions from them
3. Be able to speak loud and clear
4. have a proper working mic ( I still have yet to get one )
5.just be yourself and have a good time
6. Don't hate on big youtubers ( I would never do it, but I have friends whose channels have suffered miserably because of that)
7. Try not to spam ( sometimes you have too, people just don't like it) .
8. Try playing maps people normally wouldn't ( I played a map called Mysterious East and the yogscast ended up playing it later)
9. always put your best effort into editing
10. Try to co-ops! They are lots of fun!
11. Have fun and enjoy!
Sincerely,

Can I add some tips? I haven't been on YouTube for very long, so this is just a collection of stuff I've learned from other people.
- Be yourself. People want to hear you, not some other person.
- You have to put some time and effort into it. You aren't going to get a million subscribers overnight. Popular YouTubers, such as SkyDoesMinecraft and CaptianSparklez, have been doing YouTube videos for years and have been putting a lot of effort into it.
- Tell your friends about your channel. Maybe, if they enjoy gaming videos as well, you can do some videos together. It's a lot easier to do commentary when there's someone else with you.
- I've heard a rumor that pretending like the audience is your best friend helps, although I've never tried it before...
- Don't ignore your fans. Make sure to connect with them. If you hit a subscriber/view milestone, make sure to do a special video or at least acknowledge that you hit that milestone. Otherwise, your fans will think you don't care.
- Going along with that last one, don't be afraid to ask your fans for feedback.
- Don't spam/advertise on other people's channels. It's annoying, and 9/10 times it doesn't work.
- Try to avoid awkward silence. You can even talk about random, non-Minecraft stuff, but don't just say nothing. However, try to avoid hateful topics/bashing on others' channels. Your channel will get associated with hate/bashing, and that's not a good thing.
- Over all, have fun! That's more important than anything.
Also, the fact that you're 11 doesn't make a difference. I'm a girl, and I like to make Minecraft videos. It doesn't matter how old you are, or what nationality you are, or what gender you are. As long as you have fun, put some effort into it, and keep a positive outlook on things, you'll do fine.
