Getting big on you tube is one of the hardest things on the internet. The easiest way is getting subs directed from a larger channel. if you had 4 channels directing their subs to you then you would get a lot more subs.

A little piece of wisdom, that was given to me, and from the numbers, is very true - advertising/networking/etc. will grow your channel steadily, and reliably - but the way 'booms' in subscribers/views occur, is when content is 'shared' by viewers in their social networking circles. These collaborative groups are good ways to get a few extra subs, and aid this steady growth, but they won't blow it away and make you internet famous (and truth be told, if you're doing youtube to be 'internet famous', it's going to be a very frustrating journey... trust me, I've watched a few people do it, or at least try to... both irl and just online associations... with mixed results... so just remember to focus on fun first, then once that's done, then you can worry abut the 'subs' and 'fame')

I agree 100%. If you go into the whole Youtube thing wanting to get big and make money, I think you will give up like alot of people.
Becoming 1mill subs big takes years. Take CaptainSparklez, he started with cod video's when he was 14 or something. 8 years later he is where he is today.

Thank you - I just find it rewarding to help people avoid the pitfalls I've seen in the past year (wish I would have started way earlier than I did... was just lazy... regret it because I actually love creating youtube videos).
