Hey guys, I'm growing a Minecraft channel lately. I tried to get more subs and this is what I'vve done:
-Do LP videos by request.
-Draw skins.
The first one seems to uneffective, but beside getting subs, I have maps to do videos with. And the second one, it more effective, but after receiving so many requests, I have to close the topic and complete all those requests then will re-open it again. And just after I closed, I think that I don't have anymore subs?? Now I have just 21 subs (that's good for me right now) but I want to know that, if you guys know a way to let more people know about your channel, will you guys share? I'm waiting for the experiences that you guys will give
Post them on Facebook, Twitter or something, post it on the Minecraft Forums, talk to other people on YouTube. You don't really have to ask them to check out your channel if you comment or stuff like that, 'cause if you've got a nice profile picture and left a positive comment on a smaller channel's video, they tend to check out your channel

When editing your sig, hit the "Special BB Code" button, select "youtubesubscribe" in the drop down, and then enter your channel name (not the whole URL, just the name). EX: "weemcast".

well... 'marketing' your channel involves a lot of things... and there's "honest" ways to do it (making content, and sharing it in appropriate sections on forums, using a signature to advertise, etc. etc.) - and there's "dishonest" ways to do it (sub4sub, contact spam, etc. etc.) - the advantage of the "honest" ways is that you tend to get more consistent viewers.
Using myself as an example: I may only have 272 subs (gaining 1-2 a day), but I pull more consistent views than some 1000+ sub channels I know of.

Yeh thx, I don't want to do the "dishonest" way either. Its' just fake subscribers, I don't like that!
"Check me out guys! Go have a look at my channel! Please Subscirbe!"
Or I could post constructive feedback and hope that you guys like my comments and think I might be worth a look.
Minecraft forums is good because it has a section for video
Uncovered my evil plan! (though I honestly get more joy out of checking out other people's channels and seeing them grow and change, but viewers are nice too :D)
