What minimum specs would I need to record a tekkit or feed the beast let's play without having any major spikes in lag while a video recording program and skype is running simultaniously?.
This is my one and major issue. I've been having other issues envolving audio but that I'm sure I can handle myself once I get the actual recording of a lag free game is possible.
Internet security.. LOL and unless you post computer specs its kind of hard to tell, get an i5+ processor and like 4-6gigs of ram and you should be gine.
I'm pretty sure my desktop can handle it as long as I get rid of just about everything on it, I don't even use the adobe creative suit 5 or all of the microsft programs anymore since I don't go to school anymore. Any computer good enough to run that stuff no problem shouldn't have any issues, I just hate to get rid of those programs becaus ei lost the activations codes for them.

Just telling him an i5 processor and 4-6 gigs of ram isn't very helpful. Minecraft uses a huge amount GPU power. So you will need a pretty nice Video Card. Anything above an AMD HD 6800 Series should be fine. And the AMD 8150 and 8350 are much cheaper and much stronger then Intel chips
