No a watermark is not only for recording a watermark is for companies to prevent you from not buying their product. Like say I wanted to get a wallpaper that I had to pay for they would put the company name in a visible place so it would have the company name and ruin the photo or if its recording software they do that because buying the product gets rid of it and i.e makes it more professional.
