Hello Minecrafters! I am very bad at keeping things short and sweet, but here it is:I have been playing Minecraft since the very end of 2010. I got a very good PC in September of 2011 and am very experienced with recording, editing, and making movies.
I use: Sony Vegas Pro 11 Fraps Adobe Fireworks CS5 and other programs For a long time now I have been wanting to make a Minecraft movie. (Full length; 45 minutes or more) I am most interested in humorous movies and horror movies, so those are the types of Minecraft movies I'd want to make.
ABOUT US
Glowstone Pictures was created on March 11th, 2012. We have since gotten over 20 members to join (Which by the way isn't much if you exclude the ones that don't do anything, or have been banned already) and we are trying to increase our numbers because we still don't have the manpower to create future videos. Why is it called Glowstone Pictures? a) Because glowstone is a light providing block and we brighten your minecraft experience. Pictures is an underused and underrated suffix. Too many people copy each other and use "Videos", "Productions", etc. and Pictures is more original.
RULES
These rules must be followed completely. If they are not followed you will receive a strike. After three strikes, you are banned from the group.
1. Don't start arguments
2. If an argument has started stay out of it and report to a group moderator or admin or myself (Jcool)
3. Don't be overconfident and call yourself for example "all knowing" and always right no matter what because you say so
4. I can't stress this rule enough. DON'T START CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THINGS OUT OF MINECRAFT. By doing this you could begin an argument or offend someone. If you want to converse about off-topic things, add the people you want to talk to to your contacts yourself and PM them.
5. Don't add people to the skype group chat without permission from a moderator or admin. If you do you will receive a strike and that person will be kicked.
6. Obviously, respect others, be kind, don't be racist, don't make fun of religions, don't excessively cuss, long story short, don't talk about things outside of minecraft because it probably will end up badly. We all play minecraft here, so any of those things such as races and religions shouldn't matter. The fact that we play the same game is what matters.
7. You must make a logical bump on this thread every other day after being approved. When I say logical bump I mean a post, that may as well be helpful, not something useless because something useless is what a bump is. This thread needs to be Lbumped every day because it will fall down in the pages if it doesn't. And, if you have watched our video at the top of this post, you can see we have made progress and deserve more people. But that video was barely made on our schedule and we need more people to help. Once I know for a fact that GP has a solid and stable member count that doesn't go inactive or gets banned for being mean or whatever it is that happens then we will not need to Lbump anymore. You MUST Lbump every day unless you were the last person to Lbump. But that should never be the case if everyone is doing their job. After Lbumping you must put "I have made my Lbump for today" on the skype group chat.
8. Don't join this group and then go make your own video productions because you are confident that you can make one because of how well we are doing. If that's what you plan to do from the start, don't even join. You're wasting everyone's time.
9. Following up on the previous rule, don't advertise yourself in our group chat or thread. This is a group effort and only our videos should be advertised, not your solo efforts. This isn't a productions for you to mooch off of and gain views for yourself. If you do a good job you will be in the credits of our videos and that is enough advertising for yourself.
10. Don't mess around on our server especially when we are trying to film for our video or get a set built or whatever productive thing we may be doing.
11. If you will be absent for more than a day and you are aware of it, contact a moderator or admin. If you don't it will be considered "ditching" and as the rest of the rules go, strike.
12. Don't give false information when applying to join. Don't give fake times when you will usually be on and whatnot.
13. Don't spam the group chat
HEY. IF YOU'RE GOING TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION TO JOIN, THEN AFTER YOU'RE DONE FILLING IT OUT, PUT A AT THE VERY END. THIS IS SO WE KNOW YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE POST (OR AT LEAST THE RULES, LOL). IF YOU DON'T PUT A AT THE END OF YOUR APPLICATION IT WILL NOT BE APPROVED.
RANKING SYSTEM
We have a ranking system starting from 0 and ending at 10. 0 being the lowest rank. Nobody except moderators and up will know their rank because it can spawn a number of bad things such as jealousy or anger. 8 is moderator rank, 9 is admin rank, and 10 is creator rank, which only I get X). Here are the ranks and their benefits:
0 - 7: Regular member, the higher up the more work they have done, the more of a help they have been, etc.
8: Moderator. Can only be given this rank by a rank 9 admin or rank 10 creator. Moderators are the same as regular members with the exception that they watch over the thread and group chat and filter out troublemakers and report problems to rank 9's and 10's. They also have the ability to view and edit the spreadsheet document of info we have on every member. They can also promote people up to rank 7 and demote them, and give strikes to people not following the rules.
9: Admin. Can only be given this rank by a rank 10 creator. Admins have the ability to promote members to moderators and approve join application replies made on this thread by people who want to join. They also have the ability to view and edit the spreadsheet document of info we have on every member. They can also promote people up to rank 8 and demote them, and give strikes to people not following the rules.
10: Creator. Has full control of Glowstone Pictures. Can remove admins and moderators from their positions as well as promote and demote. Can kick, ban and make this productions a happier and safer place for everyone.

OTHER STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW
* We have not gotten popular enough to make it worth having our own YouTube channel. Until that time comes all videos will be posted on my channel, http://youtube.com/JcoolVideoz and if we ever need our own channel all videos posted on my channel will be remastered and uploaded to our channel.
* The moderators, admins and the creator will be watching you. They will monitor your posts on the minecraft forums as well as what you say on the group chat. If you are doing something that can potentially bring GP down or make it less popular or give it a bad reputation or whatever, or breaking the rules, stealing our members, etc., the strikes will be applied.
2. You need to be able to build, act, or come up with ideas when they are needed. (THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACTING AND VOICE ACTING PEOPLE)
3. You need to be online when you said you would be able to be online.
4. You need to be mature. Age doesn't define maturity but your actions do.
