well you need the correct sizing and i think thats it.
well mine is 200x200 but has no transperancies. its a .gif and thats it. i directly uploaded it but if that doesnt work try using a Gravatar. it mite also have something to do with post count or time on the forums because i see alot of people around my post mark have large avatars
