The man who represented the travelers from Wylosia were called to KingsHill Fortress. The letter that requested trade routes between the two kingdoms were treated by King Magnus himself. Magnus was very positive to a trade agreement with this rich country in the west and he would travel through the upcoming route to see if it was safe for his traders. Magnus ended the meeting with a promise that when KingsHolm's new fleet was ready, he would put 4 of the ships in readiness to protect the route from looters.
Just four days after the men from the kingdom of Wylosia went back home was Kingsholm castle facade finished. And both the people and sailors gathered around the castle pier to watch the magnificent building. The castle became with its unique style a symbol of power around Baltika.
People could see parts of the castle from the city, the iconic "castle tower" was the most famous characteristic for the population. And people began to get used to the metropolis status that the city had received.
Finally the time had come, the first of 43 ships in the new fleet was completed. "HMS BIRGER" was an impressive ship and there was no doubt that the kingdom was about to form a world leading fleet. It was sunrise but many had lined up along the pier to see the ship when it passed the castle.
The ship was made ready to travel the long road to the kingdom of Wylosia, on board there were many kinds of food, textiles and the local beer that the men from Wylosia had become so fond of during their stay in Kingsholm.
But as wealth grew along with the city was also the number of poor increased. This had become a common sight around the piers. Magnus called in the nobility class to contribute financially to give the poor an education in shipbuilding. The residue was offered work in the iron mines. The people looked at Magnus as a problem-solving king, and was confident that he was going to be a good king for the century.

Magnus nor his ambassadors had heard a word from across the sea in a long time. One year to be precise. This troubled them a lot. Quickly, they ordered a scouting expedition to the city of Magna to see what had happened.
First, the scouts encountered fog like no other. They thought of this of normal as fog was a normal thing to run across. But to be safe, they sent light scouts to investigate if anything was wrong.
Like some sort of sick joke, the second thing they encountered was a Moria ship, burning right outside the harbor of Magna. Shocked, the scouts quickly allowed sailors to board.
The sailors reported that a ally had attacked them out of nowhere, firing cannonballs straight at their galeon. Unprepared for a battle, the soldiers had abandoned ship right before the magazine of the ship exploded, leaving nothing but a burning wreck.
Astonished, the scouts quickly left the sailors on mainland and waited till darkness to see if the city was alright. What they would report would most certainly infuriate the people of kingsholm.
Houses burning down or full of cannonballs struggled to stay up as thousands of bodies laid on the ground, most Eulizean soldiers, completely motionless. Some of the wells and waterholes were poisoned and all the churches windows and holy writings were obliterated. Most of the city's farms were destroyed or ransacked and the port which they had once arrived at was completely destroyed, with Eulizean frigates sinking into their watery grave.
And in the middle of all the chaos, a lone guard tower, standing, like a lone soldier in a battlefield.
The largest watchtower of Magna was hoisting a Dulian flag like a sign of defeat.
The citizens of Kingsholm wake to a shocking message, the Eulizean capital had been attacked by an ally. Who the allies was has not yet been known, and Magnus is informed that no member of the royal family had been injured during the attack.
Until the person responsible is found Magnus sends a fleet of 4 ships to Magna to protect the port, plus financial support to repair the city. Magnus asks kings around the Baltic Sea to send support to repair and reinforce the important city.
Magnus has recently shown interest in the major Kingshill mountains. 2 months ago started the construction of a mining field and now it finally shows results. Large amounts of iron are picked up every day and many have opened their eyes to the iron mines in Kingshill.
Iron and oak has now become the largest exports for the country, but it is the iron that ensures greater incomes. Magnus command that the mines will be deeper and sets high standards for the amount of iron to be recovered every day.
It is a misty day in the mountains around King Hill Fortress and the darkness of night is the only thing to see.
While paving the cabinets to make room for new books he comes across some of Birgers recent documents before he died. When he takes hold of the documents a map falls out, the map shows the North-West Baltika. On the map are 3 major provinces drawn around with a red pen and the headline "Kingdom of Swealand" on the side. Birger had planned to unite the three sister provinces.
Gothenland(largest city Borgholm, is the southern, most densely populated part, consisting of ten provinces)
Swealand (largest city Kingsholm, is the central part, and is the smallest of the three parts with six provinces),
Norrland (largest city Sundsvall, is the northern part, which is the largest of the three parts, covering 60 percent of the total territory with nine provinces. The three northernmost provinces are sometimes called (Upper) Norrland while the rest of the provinces are then called (Lower) Norrland).
That if united forms the Kingdom of Swealand. Magnus liked the idea, this would strengthen Kingsholm its position both in Baltika and Europe. Magnus ordered that a force of 10 000 men should be made ready. Tomorrow they march towards Norrland.
Magnus and a army of 10 000 men march towards Norrland which is the largest but weakest of the three main provinces. In Sundsvall they are struggling with the economy and agrees to join the new country without a fight. In the south, Gothenland refuse to join Swealand and a war occurs.
Gothenland has a army of 25 000 and with Magnus 10 000 men the battle seems lost.
But than the General Harald from the Kingdom of Northlands joins the battle with 5 000 heavy armed men. With the Northmen's special bow technique they manage to kill 2 500 without even pull up a sword. The battle of Gothenland With the two generals Magnus and Harald on the one side and Lord Valdemar on the other they run into close attack. Magnus manage to pull lord Valdemar of his horse and point his sword close to Valdemar's throat. Valdemar and his men gives up and run to Germany.
Magnus thank the kingdom of Northlands for the military support and both King Haakon of Northlands and General Harald was invited to the coronation in Borgholm Cathedral.
The cathedral was filled with kings and nobles when King Magnus and Queen Martha was crowned King and Queen of Swealand. Then all went back to Kingsholm castle, although not the whole castle was furnished was "the great dinning hall" finished. And there they would eat and dance.
Again the majestic Kingsholm castle impressed the guests with its modern architecture. The tables were covered with candles and local flowers, and Magnus had ordered an impressive throne.
Now Magnus had put his fathers work into reality, the kingdom of Swealand was feared by many. Both Magnus friends and enemies was concerned, and Germany that is one of the great powers in Europe find them self dangerously close to Swealand. King Frederick of Germany wondered what Magnus next plan was and feared an invasion of Germany because of its strategic position. Germany had no close relations with the current King Magnus and the country's economy would not be affected if Swealand disappeared. King Frederick collected Kong Francis of Gardè and King Nicolai of Russia who were all interested in Swealands position in Baltika. They agreed to attack Swealand and then divide the country into three so everyone got a share each.
The day after the coronation was Magnus awakened by a general with a letter in his hand. The letter stated that "beacouse of the aggressive behavior has the Kingdoms Germany, Russia and Gardè declare war on Swealand". This came as a shock for Magnus, he went into the office and took out pen and paper. Magnus wanted the kingdom of Northlands, Bugenhagen, Wylosia, Frostford and Eulizea to join the battle by his side. King Haakon gave a fast answer that Northlands will join the battle by his side. The second to respond was Bugenhagen, but they had important trading income form Germany and a war with them will mostly destroy their economy. So if they were to join, it would be with the Germans. Magnus are now waiting for an answer from Wylosia, Frostford and Eulizea. At the moment Swealand and Northlands stands alone against the large powers of Europe in the beginning of what seems to be the Second Northern War.

One day after the letter was sent, some fishermen encountered out of the port of kingsholm a small improvised raft made of wood floor tiles, leftover rags and pieces of mast, which looked like it had been rotting for a while. Inside the small vessel was one lone Eulizean officer, lying unconscious. As the fishermen dragged him onboard, the man swiftly woke up and made a swing of his sword, as if attacking an invisible enemy the fishermen couldn't see.
"YOU MANIACS! IMBECILES!!! HOW COULD YOU?! I WILL SLICE YOU INTO LITTLE BITS, YA MONGREL!!!" the officer yelled before he was knocked out by a blow of a fisherman's whiskey bottle.
"What should we do with him?"
"Let's see If we can get him to the authorities."
After they got the General to shut up, they went back to the harbor. The fishermen looked at each other and wondered what they would do to him. The general wore an expensive uniform with several buttons of gold, and they could get good money for it. But they knew that the country was at war, and King Magnus had ordered that anyone who had any information should report to him. So after a long discussion the fishermen took the General with them to the castle.
When they reached the gate, they were stopped by two royal guards. The guards looked at the fishermen and then on the general who they held in each arm. One of the guards took a cup of water and threw in his face. the General looks horrified around him and Then he looks up at the guards and start talking: "YOU MANIACS! Imbecile !!! HOW COULD YOU ?! I WILL YOU SLICE INTO LITTLE BITS, YA Mongrel !!!". The guards look at each other and then they look at his uniform. "It's a Eulizean general uniform" one of them says. The fishermen ask if he could be taken up to the Hall of state to speak to the King, they thought he might have some information about what really took place when Magna was attacked.
When they came up to the hall traveled Magnus up, what happened he asked. Some fishermen took him to the gate, they thought he might have some information about what really happened the night when Magna was attacked. Magnus sees that he is in bad shape, "take him to the salon and give him some dry clothes, then bring him to the large dining hall. Tonight he will dine with us.
When the evening came, he was shown up to the large dining hall. He looked up at the impressive roof designed in Nordic architecture. He was placed beside Magnus, the king would not talk about the traumatic event. Now they should enjoy themselves with good food and great music.
Although the castle wasn't finished furnished was all of the bedrooms made clear. The General was taken to the baron suite where he was to stay the night before he was to meet up in the Hall of State in the morning to tell about the incident that befell Magna (you decide what to be said).
After the conversation with the General Magnus was called to an emergency meeting at the defense department.
Russia had sent troops to Germany and they made ready a fleet to sail from Berlin. Magnus had received a letter from King Haakon of Northlands that he had an army of 40,000 men and a fleet of 9 ships standing ready for war. Magnus will keep the war without their own borders and chooses then an aggressive tactic. Magnus sent a letter to Haakon to meet with his army at Bugenhagen harbor.
Magnus sends a fleet of 8 ships loaded with 60,000 men to Bugenhagen. From there Magnus and Haakon will sail together to Poland and then disembark and march on Germany's borders with a combined army of 100,000 men. Now King Haakon and King Magnus hope on help from Wylosia, Frost Ford and Eulizea before it's too late.

The general was presented in the Hall of State next morning for the interrogation.
"So," said the main chairman of parliament "could you please tell us your name?"
"It's not important." responded the general from across the hall.
"I see, could you please tell us what happened?"
"YOU KNOW PERFECTLY WELL WHAT HAPPENED!!!" exclaimed the general at the top of his lungs.
"Could you detail us what happened?" responded the chairman, getting worried.
"General, please. We must know." said the secretary of defence. Who was sitting next to the chairman.
After a small pause, the general finally responded.
"Fine...It was a cloudy morning at the harbor. I was in a Eulizean frigate when we saw in the distance a ship explode. We immediately sprang to action, raising our defences. Alas, the fog rolled in. A thick gray fog. And while that fog swept in, we didn't notice the enemy had attacked the left side of the port. Our army immediately closed the gate but it was no use. They proceeded to trash the city. Destroy every farm, poison every waterhole, kill every priest, every healer, every blacksmith, every pig. You name it, they killed it. When they left, we thought it was over, we had won. We were terribly wrong. They began to shell the city. Hundreds of cannonballs rained on the city while officers tried to get civilians to safety. When the second wave arrived, there was no army left to defend the city. The rest of the officers were hanged by the highest yardarm of the enemy ship. I, on the other hand, escaped on a piece of wood with a makeshift sail. When reinforcements finally arrived, there was no one left, thousands of corpses littered the streets and all my mens heads had been skewed onto spears. Out of my rage, I accidentally set sail into the vast ocean till...present day..."
Everyone was shocked. Thousands dead? EVERY officer hanged? Every priest, blacksmith, healer and pig in Magna...dead? Everyone was in shock for a long time. Five minutes at least. The chairman was the first one to respond.
"Interesting story." responded the chairman. "However, what is this scroll we have found in your pocket?"
"That there is a order from high enemy command in germany, which I picked off a officer."
"Can you translate this for us? Not many speak savage tongue."
"It states:'After obliteration of 'Magna' we are to advance to secondary objective located to the north. All instructions are to be coded via drum. We are to attack with a full fledge side attack, attacking from the east and west.' OH GOOD JESUS!"
Immediately after reading the document, the general ran out the hall and was waving at the ships which had departed, only visible from the horizon.
"COME BACK!!! COME BACK!!! IT'S A TRAP!!! BERLIN IS A TRAP!!! COME BACK!!!"
Running after him, the minister of defence shook him saying:
"WHAT DID THAT DOCUMENT SAY?!"
"'Prepare to lure kingsholm troops to full frontal attack. We will surround them from the sides'"

Indeed, people had seen the general quietly borrow a messenger pigeon from the palace, write a note and send it flying across the sea. However, no one knew why. Until the next day that is.
The next day, port guards reported 3 ships, tightly packed together, as if its contents were incredibly valuable. The only reason they let them in was easy: they hoisted the Eulizean colors.
When the general heard of this, he simply said:
"AH! The trading scouts are here!"
However, the only valuables these ships carried were food, ale and soldiers. Lots and lots of soldiers. 7,000 men and 3 cannons to be precise. As the men unloaded the rest of the cargo, a man in a extravagant uniform walked up to the general.
"General."
"Duke. I do believe there are 1/3 of what's left of the Eulizean army, am I correct."
"Yes, yes indeed. The numbers fell drastically when the capital fell."
The minister of defence (as his duty implied) went to greet the newly arrived reinforcements. As soon as he had checked that this wasn't a hostile invasion, he walked up to the general and duke which had been chatting.
"Ah! Minister! Let me introduce my friend here! This is Sir Albert of Deen, he is the first in line to the Eulizean throne. Oh...I do believe I haven't introduced myself in the entire ordeal have I?"
"No you haven't." said the minister, observing the duke.
Gallantly, the general replied "I am General Lamberth Rosefeild. I am in charge of the whole Eulizean army."
On the same day sailed the Royal Northlandian fleet from the capital Akerborg toward Bugenhagen with 13 ships loaded with 40,000 men. Ignorance about what the Germans had planned.
It was foggy when captain Breivikson (commander of the Swealandian fleet) approached the coast of Bugenhagen. The fog made it almost impossible to navigate but as an experienced seaman knew Breivikson exactly where he was going.
When the fog slowly disappeared emerged sails on the horizon, "Ships on the left side" screamed the boy up in the mast. Breivikson walked slowly toward the railing "binoculars plz" he said as he tried to determine which flag the ships belonged to. When he got the binoculars he aimed toward the top of the ship, "Germans" he said before he gave the orders "makes clear the cannons and do not shoot before they turn."
Again they heard the boy in the mast scream "ships straight ahead", Breivikson walked quickly toward the front of the ship "it is a trap" he whispered to himself. He walked up to the helm where he made himself ready to fight to the death.
The Germans quickly came toward them from two sides, but then the left raft turned and sailed against the other ships in what appears to be a powerful front attack.
After a while the Germans had been gathered and yet had not one shot been fired. While the Swealandian army looked on the large fleet that gathered in front of them they could now see the Germans bring out the cannons before they slowly approached them.
But then they heard the voice of the boy in the mast "Ships to the right side" all looked towards the sunset in the horizon and there came the Royal Northlandian fleet. Breivikson smiled before he gave the orders to "stand until we get together and make us ready to attack", a roar went through fleet.
The ships stood in a long line, and then the first shot from the Germans was fired.
Cannon balls hit two of Northlands ships, one was more damaged than the other. People jumped into the sea and swimmed toward the sister ship when the boat took in large amounts of water.
The next to be hit were two German ships.
Then a Swealandian vessel was hit, it was the captain ship. The whole deck had caught fire and people stood in flames as they jumped into the sea in an attempt to save themselves. But Brevikson was not to see.
When sunrise came had the entire first line to the Germans had been destroyed and the Northlands could now aim at the second line.
After a long and hard struggle they could now see that the Germans turned around and sailed back to Germany, not as a defeat but as a back drop from the a battle in which neither side could return with a "aksebtabel victory". The Germans were left with only 9 of the 18 ships they lined up with.
On the other side they were still a majority with 10 ships, but it was Swealand who went home as the biggest losers. Only 3 of 8 ships were left and without a captain.
In Kingsholm the people could see 3 ships come into the harbor alone and the women broke into tears. Only 22,500 men had survived of the 60,000 that were sent. For a few minutes was the loud city in a total silence.
3 hours after the ships had docked there was a memorial ceremony for all the dead and funeral for the three generals in the great church. In the first chest lay the body of Breivikson, he only became 47 years old. He started his career in the Navy when he was 15 years old and worked as captain in the last three. King Magnus gave a speech during the ceremony.
The following day had three ships arrived Kingsholm harbour, they were from Eulizea. The ships were joined by 7,000 men and 3 Canon. Magnus went down to the harbor to talk to the man in charge, where he meet General Lamberth Rosefeild. He was in charge of the whole Eulizean army and the first in line to the Eulizean throne. Magnus wished him welcomed to Kingsholm and he was then invited into the castle. There the great dining hall was made ready for a royal feast for Crown Lamberth Rosefeild and his highest ranking officers. Magnus called back the troops in the north who was on a total strength of 15,000 men. Along with Northlands 37 000 men and the Eulizean 7000 they would together sail towards Magna where they will disembark and march against Germany. Magnus already have 4 ships in readiness around Magna so they will not be attacked this time. This was decided by Magnus and Lamberth, to keep Germany without Allied lands we together have to run an aggressive attack around the German borders. When the darkness of night lay over Kingsholm sailed Magnus and Lamberth to Magna.
Frostford was able to survive the winter, and the townsfolk began to work on it again.
The first thing they did was to expand the port. It was the best way the town could get resources, so they also built two trading ships which brought goods from other regions.
Thanks to this, more people moved to Frostford to seek opportunities, so the people built an inn for the inmigrants to stay there.
Then came the news of a terrible war in the south, between Germany and the Kingdom of Sealand. Many people thought it'd be beneficial to join the war, while a small minority was against joining it. Since they couldn't get to an agreement, they decided to make a counsil of 5 people to take the decision.
The counsil voted, and the results were: 3 votes to join the war, 2 to not join the war.
However, the town's population was very small, and not many people volunteered to join an army. So instead, they decided to use the funds the inn made to build ships for Swealand and it's allies. After two months of hard work, Frostford sent three battleships along with 35 experienced sailors to help Swealand and it's allies against Germany.
(By the way, I'm adding the pictures in spoilers so it doesn't take a long time to load the page, aswell as make the post shorter)
Two months had passed, King Magnus, King Haakon and Prince Lambert has reached the Polish border. Outside the city wall rides Magnus, Haakon and Lamberth forward to ask the guards if they were friend or foe. The Polish guards told that they held with the South-Eastern alliance, they are relying on Germany's farming and Russia's iron mines. "Let us through in peace or let it be war" shouts Lamberth. The Polish soldiers do not answer back. "War it is" says Magnus while he looks at Lamberth. They ride back to army consisting of 81,500 men. "Onward" says Magnus while he points his sword against the wall. The little border town consisted of 3 walls, after a few hours had Magnus, Haakon and Lamberth taken 2 of them. Only one wall remained as the Polish general gave up. Magnus, Haakon and Lamberth decided to camp in the city, where they would remain until the injured soldiers had been better.
In Kingsholm was General Lundkvist in charge while Magnus was away. He had received 3 ships from Frostford with 35 experienced sailors, they were set to protect Swealand's coastline. Lundkvist had after orders from Magnus put 6 new vessels in production.
From the kingdom of Britons came news about a thing called "theater". This had become very populare and before Magnus left he built a theater in the castle. Kingsholm was the third castle that had a theater and maintains its status as a modern castle. Many friends of Magnus hoped for an invitation to the palace to look at this thing called "theater".
In the Polish border town Magnus received messages from spies in Germany, an army of 60 000 German men march against Poland and 110 000 men from Russia. To the south west has Gardè readied 40,000 men for battle. Lamberth sent a message to Magna after several men, soldiers or not, all men between the ages 17 to 55 would join to the Polish city to fight. The city's strategic position could not be taken, it was virtually the entrance to Poland.
Back in Kingsholm Lundkvist sent 2,000 trained soldiers together with 4,500 men between ages from 20 to 50-year-old to KingHill Fortress. In case Gardè should show up at the border.
While Lundkvist sat in the hall of state he received a message that Germany had been in contact with Bugenhagen. A Swealandian diplomat who was present during the visit had seen General Hauenstein and King Christian shake another's hands as a sign of agreement. Lundkvist was unable to report the incident to Magnus as the Polish town had been surrounded by enemy troops. Would this be the beginning of a war with Bugenhagen.

Eulizea had been busy fighting the germans which had camped in their border for over a week now. The germans (which had refused to move an inch since they had gotten there) had already set up a fortification which housed more than 5,000 highly specialized german troops. However, the germans had to face a brigade of 6,500 angry eulizean soldiers led by west eulizean born Lieutenant Pierre DeRenard, famous for his odd tactics. On the other side in contrast, was Senior Captain Adalwolf von Fuchsanert, widely known for his brutality and for sparing no mercy, and frankly, this was no exception. Adalwolf had brought two massive cannons from germany with him of the finest design, which could launch a 20mm cannon ball spiralling 400 yards at 220 mph. Right now they were pointing at point blank at Pierre's men.
Quickly before the battle started, DeRenard ordered his men to have a quick prayer:
Amen.
Maintenant «loup» , battons-nous jusqu'à la fin!"
Unexpectedly, DeRenard and his troops made a sudden charge towards the fort when Adalwolf ordered his men to fire the cannons ending the life of 1,000 men and leaving behind nothing but two craters and many burnt eulizean uniforms. The battle seemed lost, one more shot from either cannon and the battle was lost, but in that moment, DeRenard sounded a bugle. No german thought too much of it till one of the officers yelled "SIR!!! ENEMIES ON BOTH SIDE!!!". Apparently, DeRenard had learned from the disaster which the germans had created and had grabbed the same tactic by hiding 4,000 camouflaged troopers on both sides of the battlefield. And before any geman knew what was going on, the battle had ended, with the germans surrounded.
As the war raged on, Frostford became a place for the refugees to stay while battles were fought in their cities. The counsil offered greats sums of money for those who volunteered to help build ships for Swealand and its allies. After a few long weeks of hard work, a small fleet had been done, and people cheered as 130 sailors left the city to fight for Swealand.
People stood in the port, admiring the powerful ships they had built. It looked like a new sea power was emerging. (<-- I'm not too sure about this last thing, tell me what you think)
Also, a ship-building school was built, and a few days later the Frostford Counsil Hall stood next to it. People built a defensive wall around the two buildings, and a tower with a flag on top next to it.

News about Frostford and their quick builders quickly reached Eulizea. You see: Shipyards were rare and builders scarce. The ships which they made for the navy usually were rushed and delayed beyond belief. So Eulizea (as seeing this as a loophole to their little problem) sent a small caravan, full of pipeweed, ale, wine, food, wood and gold across the land to the people of frostford.
Meanwhile, Senior Captain Adalwolf von Fuchsanert was being held at the royal court for account of war crimes. However, In order to hold him victim of charges, a direct victim was needed.
Adalwolf had been in charge of both the maritime attack, the attack on Magna and this small assault.
Problem being, who to choose? Fuchsanert left almost no survivors which were direct victims alive...
He means that he hopes that you have installed a protection plugin or have taken away the rights for people to build and destroy, so that no one destroys your hard work.
THANKS FOR STAYING WITH ME
The man who represented the travelers from Wylosia were called to KingsHill Fortress.

And in the middle of all the chaos, a lone guard tower, standing, like a lone soldier in a battlefield.
The largest watchtower of Magna was hoisting a Dulian flag like a sign of defeat.
Well, I guess that'll do...
Gothenland (largest city Borgholm, is the southern, most densely populated part, consisting of ten provinces)
Well, I guess that'll do...
Well, I guess that'll do...
Well, I guess that'll do...
ok uh totally blowing my mind?
"Aujourd'hui , nous luttons contre un mal puissant qui menace de l'exil de notre terre. Que la puissance de Dieu nous aider dans cette bataille . Notre père,
qui es aux cieux ,
sanctifiée par ton nom ;
Well, I guess that'll do...
Fuchsanert left almost no survivors which were direct victims alive...
...except...
LAMBERTH!
Well, I guess that'll do...
Then all the great kings throughout Europe are invited to the ball at Three Towers Castle.
