The nation of Eulezia and the engineers from the Imperial Union are proud to announce their recent success in the development of flying ships. The FS Stanwell is ready for deployment at any moment's notice at a staggering 75 mph!
The nation of Eulezia and the engineers from the Imperial Union are proud to announce their recent success in the development of flying ships. The FS Stanwell is ready for deployment at any moment's notice at a staggering 75 mph!
Right now its nothing big, but once the fleet is done (and hopefully does not catch fire and burn to the ground) it's going to be...mildly impressive....
Magnus has a meeting with the architect who draws the new castle, suddenly a guard enters the room with important news. The nation of Eulezia together with workers from the imperial union has built a ship With 2 canon decks. The ship goes under the name FS Stanwell. Magnus will ensure peace between the Kingdom of Kingsholm and the nation of Eulezia, a ship With 2 canon decks is a big advantage at sea. Magnus sends one of his best diplomats to Eulezia, where he will negotiate for peace and if all goes well, Magnus would like to contribute financially to the development of the ship.
After diplomat left Kingsholm Magnus continues the conversation with the architect, Magnus want the royal residence to be upgraded before the southern part of the castle. The architect agree to the king's desire. And the demolition of the the old residence starts.
Magnus moves to Kingshill castle with his family and 800 guards, where he will stay until the new residence is completed.
The royal dining hall is being emptied and only the red floor is left. One can no longer see that this belongs to a royal. Tables throne chairs is being taken care of, they will be used in the new building.
Magnus was sad when his father's bedroom was emptied, in these hallways and rooms King Birger used to walk around thinking about how he would develop the city for the benefit of the citizens. And now these rooms was going to be teared down.
Now there are only the foundations that remain, it should be widened before the new building is raised.
Magnus sends lumberjacks south of the city where they will chop down trees to make room for more houses.
The castle barracks will be moved out of the courtyard and the old barracks is teared Down.
While the construction of the new barracks taking place the soldiers will move to the south barracks, the building has long been used as a warehouse but is now filled with beds for the many guards.
On the site where the old barracks used to stand is now a three-story building under Construction.
Just a few weeks later is the new building completed, there is one beautiful sight and the architecture is magnificent. In the right side of the buildings is the new castle chapel made and on the left side is the headquarters of the army.
In the entrance hall there are two major stairs, if you go to the right you will come to the castle Chapel.
The chapel is filled with details from the whole Baltika and the altar is the most expensive item in the chapel.
Magnus travels down to the palace where he will meet with general Kvist Lund, they will discuss whether to set up your defense towers in the town to replace the former fortress which now becomes a castle.
The army make a bridge south west of the city, the bridge makes it possible for large carts entering the city. It also binds the island Kingsholm with the rest of the kingdom. On either side of the bridge it is built fortress towers to protect the city from an attack. The bridge barriers also the river from the sea. This means that the kingdoms that trades through this river no longer getting traded with each other. But this is not a loss for Kingsholm, now the city is a meeting point for traders in the south and the North.
The castle continues to grow and east side stands almost finished. Now planning Magnus to make room for more inhabitants at the south gate. Magnus hopes to attract experienced shipbuilders who can work for the Navy, Kingsholm's fleet is small and old. Magnus has sent 13 architects to Hambeck where they will learn how to draw modern ships.

The ancient textbooks of kingsholm clearly stated that the Eulizeans from the continent of oren where savages with odd traditions and idiotic customs. This troubled the diplomat, but never the less, a flying ship sounded amazing! Therefore, after a long journey across the baltica ocean, they finally arrived to the city of Magna, the capital of the Eulizean Empire and one of the oldest recorded city's. Little did they expect that there they would find some of the biggest ships and the most interesting architecture ever seen by the diplomat or anyone onboard the vessel. Clearly, the ancient textbooks where just that: ancient and obsolete. They were also surprised to be greeted at the port by sundown by a cohort of Eulizean soldiers and a brigade of imperial union engineers. Immediately, the diplomat and his guards were led inside the walled city which simply seemed like a village like any other. Inside, they were led to an inn to rest till tomorrow. The next day they were lead to the royal hall. The entrance to the the royal hall was guarded by a pair of tough looking guards and another pair of what seemed to be odd looking artillery cannons which the ambassador had never seen before. Inside, they admired the beauty of the hall. The walls were padded with nicely decorated stone and the floor was aligned to look like a cross with the four other blank sections made of a material neves seen by any kingsholm inhabitant ever, which after asking a guard he said it was called prismarine and that it was a common mineral in the seas of Oren. Once approaching the throne they were immediately welcomed personally by the emperor. "Welcome, ambassador from the far seas. What news do your people bring?"
The diplomat immediately explained the wonders of the flying ship and if they could fund it.
The emperor told them in a quiet voice "Denied. You people have pulled this trick off before, back in days of my father. You stole the prototype to our cannons in development and used it to bombard each other."
The diplomat was confused at first, but then he remembered the details of the independence of Kingsholm. "They burned down the trees of a nearby island and they mounted a strange cannon never seen before". The ambassador immediately apologized for the mistake of the king and told them that it had been a foolish act in the independence of their country.
"Oh...I guess that makes things alright then. We are a changed empire ourselves. Back in days of old, giants roamed the lands of Oren. The only way to live in Oren was to be a savage killer. But the giants were defeated in the 4 days of fire, turning them to stone. Now, with the giants defeated, we can think of incredible things and make incredible machines. Yes, we do keep some nasty traditions like smoking tallgrass instead of pipeweed or drinking games, but nevertheless, we are changed men." remarked the emperor.
"So, is that a yes?"
"Yes. You can settle peace with our vast empire and you can proportion funds to the complete development of the flying fleet. Your new competition, the kingdom of duli, were jerks anyways."
Suddenly, one of the guards walk up with a scroll in his hand.
"You may keep that as a gift, that is a blueprint to one of the ships outside. Tell your king that if he wants more blueprints to machines, he just has to come to us."
After that, the ambassador leaves the throne room and departs for his voyage home.

News quickly spreads about the country across the sea in Oren and soon, neighboring countries like Moria and The Highlands prepare their ships in magna to sail to the neighboring ocean of baltica.
With many people living close together it becomes much fighting and stealing in the streets. Kingsholm was a modern city when it came to buildings but the city order was a mess. Magnus took advice from its neighboring kingdoms Akersborg and Hambeck how they maintained law and order in the streets. Both capitals had a jail and a town watch lying central in the city. Magnus took his advice and got built a prison and headquarters to the town watch just outside the town hall. Cause Until now, much of King Magnus efforts in providing security had been directed towards outer enemies. Now that the city had grown to a considerable size, a Town Watch was needed.
Because of the huge costs that came with the upgrade of the castle was little left to spend on two grand buildings. Therefore chose Magnus to have both the prison and the headquarter in the same building. Because the city did not have a wall that went around, the construction was characterized by a fortress design. This was because the building where going to be available to serve as a fortification if the city should be exposed to an attack. The Tower and the building on the right was the headquarters of the town watch, while the building on the left was a three floor prison. Magnus was very pleased with the new building and several of the young men of Kingsholm found employment in the Town Watch, and the central placing of building gave a commanding presence.
Rumors quickly spread around Europe that Kingsholm needed experienced ship builders. Many packed their bags and went to start a new life in the small Baltic capital, but few of them got Magnus's interest. Good ship builders was hard to find becouse "Experience" came with the ships you have built and family legacy. One day the Dutch ship architect Henrik Hybertsson showed up at the king's door and asked for work. Henrik was one of Holland's most experienced ship builders but after disagreements with the Dutch king, he moved here with his family. Holland have one of the best fleets and builders in the world, and the French fleet have their ships built there. Magnus asked Henrik into the fortress, where they wrote a contract that said that Henrik would build ships for KingsHolm's navy. In occasion started Magnus the construction of a new port south of the city, this would be the place where the ships would be built and it would become the city's new commercial market.
Despite the many good thing happening in the prosperous capital of Kingsholm, Magnus was beginning to worry. So far, all relations with his neighbours were peaceful. But could this go on? As the town prospered, would it not present a more tempting victim to raiders, pirates or even other ambitious lords?
To further prepare the town and the castle for the worst, Magnus ordered a tower to be constructed on a tiny island, further from the town and castle. A huge bonfire was prepared on top of the tower, so in case of an enemy attack from the Baltika ocean, the settlement could be warned. Four soldiers kept watch day and night and used the small rowing boat to get back to the castle for supplies and replacements.
After a long journey across the baltic ocean Kingsholm diplomat had finally returned with good news from the city of Magna. The great city was rich and mighty, and the royal palace was decorated with details made of gold. The diplomat had spent most of the time negotiating with the emperor to make both nations happy. The emperor had said yes to Magnus offer, and he agreed to have two ships being buildt in the royal shipyard.
On the way back from Magna the diplomat made a visit to the city of Hambeck, he told Lord Occam about King Magnus concerns of an attack on Kingsholm by a powerful lord. Lord Occam knew Kingsholm's fleet was weak due to lack of ships, Occam had two vessels constructed and outfitted for the purpose of war and send them to Kingsholm to serve in the new navy as a sign of the strong bond between the nations.
King Magnus was excited after hearing the good news. On the ship yard had Henrik started at two large ships, but he needed more trees than he had been given. Magnus did not like this but he needed the ships, he gave Henrik permission to chop as many trees as he needed to the construction.
At the ship yard there had been created a market, here builders from far and near could come to sell and buy materials.
On the north side of the ship yard some workers chose to build houses, here it was cheap and the workplace was not far away.
The new ship yard was finished, this led to that many workers came to Kingsholm to seek a career in shipbuilding. Magnus was pleased with the new islet and he would use more of the island to expand industry. It was no longer Kingsholm who had to search for help, now it was Kingsholm who helped others.
You may want to post your story like I've said earlier, it's okay for me. But remember that I try to keep the story as realistic as possible, now Kingsholm has gone from late medieval time to the early 1400s. So I do not quite know what I think about flying ships and stuff in my story, but of course it is interesting to read about in a different setting. So if you follow the era I'm in and what was realistic at the time, then you are welcome to join the story.
It was late afternoon in Kingsholm, when one of the men standing watch at the port, notices a ship approaching. This ship is different from all the others that have come across this town, or even this land.
As the ship comes closer and closer to dock, the man shouts towards his watch commander.
"A ship is coming, sire!"
The men quickly notice that this is not a war ship, so they put their weapons down, but remaining on alert.
As the ship docks, an emissary comes out dressing some chainmail armor, shiny and well-crafted. The man has long beard, and comes bearing a steel axe on his back and a letter on his hand.
"I've come from a far land to the West, carrying a trade agreement. The people of Wylosia would like to get some trade routes going with Kingsholm, we've heard a lot about this land, and how it came to grow over the past few years. Our lord would also like to extend his deepest condolences for the loss of your King, Briger. Please deliver this message to someone in charge, and we'll be waiting at the tavern here."
(At this point, you decide where this letter goes)
As he delivers the letter, the emissary walks away towards the Tavern, and so do his men, that slowly leave the ship.
Wylosia
(not a fancy name, but that's my imagination lol)
Wylosia is a small kingdom far far West, as far as West goes. Its ruler is Prince Yoren, also lord of Batry, Bazna and Tarne.
Wylosian people have always been extremely crafty when it comes to professions. They are well known for their blacksmithing skills and finest wine and Silk. Their blacksmiths train every single day, from the day that they can walk, until the day they die. They exercise that profession, in order to become masters of the craft.
Their vineyards are fully cared for, and have the most caring hands looking after them. All the wine workers in Wylosia are hand picked for their silky touch when it comes to handling grapes and producing wine.
Silk is the most common product in the country, and to this day it made the Wylosians rich and well known. Their silk workers are also hand picked, for their patience, their hability to handle the cloth, and they are also men of money. As not everyone can afford a dying house. Silk is dyed with the best of the best of dyes, also produced from the best roses that the land has to offer,
Trading is something Wylosians are proud of, and they hope to continue like this for many many years.
(The seed that I got for my map was not the best, but I was really eager to enter your story that I went with the first one that I got, so ignore the small island xD)
(Open)
(Down below you'll be able to see pictures of the small town that will be evolving as time passes.
Also, as trade increases and merchants arrive at the town, the space will have to get bigger and bigger.
The town so far is equiped with a Merchant's Guild, a Vineyard, a Blacksmith and a Lighthouse.)

Many years ago, when the Great War was happening, war refugees fled to safe places. Many went to Kingsholm, but a group of people took three ships and sailed north. After some long weeks of travelling, they finally spotted a small island, where they decided they would start new lives.
These people -men, women and children-, worked hard to build a few houses and set up some farms for food. After the first winter, almost one third of the population had died. The townspeople built a few more houses and expanded the farms, and they named the town "Frostford".
Two years later, most of the founders of frostford had died, but their children helped the sick and continued the farms.
Now, the small yet increasing population of Frostford is in a big crisis. The food storages were very poor, and they had a bad harvest. The townspeople are suffering from hunger, and they have decided they shall use their last resources to build a small dock, and repair the old ship the town founders used, to try and find someone who is willing to help them...
I hope you don't mind about my town, as you said we´re welcome to join the story I thought this was a good time. I don't know a lot of things about this era, so if there´s something that is not historicaly accurate, please let me now!
With the continuous flow of gold coming into town, and the huge increase in trade, Prince Yoren told his builders to start on two new projects.
One, a barracks for the training of skilled soldiers in order to protect the ships at sea, and the caravans in land, and the other would be a small bank or a vault to store and protect his gold.
After a few days of planning with Prince Yoren, his engineers devised a plan for the barracks. Something really simple and small, yet functional when it came to training men.
Foundations were layed out, and the building began.
After a few months of hard work, a the barracks rose from the ground into this beast of a building
It also offered some protection from sea, as men could easily set up the cannons facing outwards towards the water.
The courtyard, small, yet functional.
As for the bank. The engineers designed something majestic, something of value, with stone carved in farthest corners of the earth.
This stone was Quartz, and there was a ton left in storage, that wasn't used in the building. Also Prince Yoren established an oupost at the Quartz quarry.
Men work tirelessly to extract this precious stone from the earth.
The loading bays are getting full each hour, so each hour they send more and more Quartz to the outpost.
Trade continues, making more and more gold flow in to the vaults.
More to come.
(hope you're enjoying my story aswell as I am :D. I'm making it up as I go
Also, my bank pictures bugged, don't know why. I'll put them on my next update )

Nice town my friend It matches the era actually, and you really made it realistic When you said about the poor farmland and the hunger. I dont know it kinda matches the type of town you got going on there. Its still on its early stages so, the growth is not big, very nice.
hey guys , sorry for that there has not been an update. This is because I've been busy with school and Counter Strike . But I'll try to post an update during the evening. Love the stories you guys are making, THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!!

With many people living close together it becomes much fighting and stealing in the streets. Kingsholm was a modern city when it came to buildings but the city order was a mess.
Man, keep this going!! I'm loving it so much my friend ;D
Also, would it be okay if I kinda entered the roleplay a little bit too with my own town?
If yes, I'd love to enter the roleplay with you buddy
You may want to post your story like I've said earlier, it's okay for me. But remember that I try to keep the story as realistic as possible, now Kingsholm has gone from late medieval time to the early 1400s. So I do not quite know what I think about flying ships and stuff in my story, but of course it is interesting to read about in a different setting. So if you follow the era I'm in and what was realistic at the time, then you are welcome to join the story.
(The seed that I got for my map was not the best, but I was really eager to enter your story that I went with the first one that I got, so ignore the small island xD)
Nice town, ill withdraw the caravan so that this can develop more realisticly.
Well, I guess that'll do...
The loading bays are getting full each hour, so each hour they send more and more Quartz to the outpost.
Nice town my friend It matches the era actually, and you really made it realistic When you said about the poor farmland and the hunger. I dont know it kinda matches the type of town you got going on there. Its still on its early stages so, the growth is not big, very nice.
Hope to see more of you aswell friend
That looks very nice.
