Here's another picture tutorial for house building. This time it's a house with a bit of safari flavor. The pics were taken in creative mode, but I built it originally in my survival world. I think it fits into the Savanna biome quite well. All materials can be found in the Savanna biome. It's a spacious house for survival mode, with all the room you need.
Some wool blocks to get the measurements right.
I like basements, so I've dug one.
I lay the flooring with Acadia Wood Planks. Notice the stairway down to the basement.
Here's some detail of the stairway.
Acacia Wood is used for the framing.
The finished framing.
The first course of the roofing. The outer courses will be slabs for a shallow slope. The center courses will be stairs for a steeper slope.
Done with the Acacia Wood Slabs.
The finished roof. Not much work is needed inside, just a few slabs to smooth things up.
I finished off the outside with some windows, detail work, and shrubbery.
An interior view of the living room, complete with creeper horror movie showing on the big screen TV!
