I thought I'd share some of my projects, starting with my latest one. This is based off an image I came across some time ago of a really cool looking castle, recently I learned that its the concept art for Fairfax Castle from Fable II. I never played it so I'll take Google's word for it. Regardless, I love the look of the castle and finally decided to try my hand at building it in Minecraft. I've built several castles, one bigger than this, but this is easily the most ornate castle I've built to date. I used the one image as my reference and for what I couldn't see I just winged it.
The castle itself is pretty well done exterior wise, I'm working on the courtyard now, followed by the interior (I did do the throne room and the observation/isolation tower.
Great use of the stair block! The arch work and wall detailing really add flair to your build. Love your screenshot-taking abilities as well. Way to make your castle seem massive and your walls towering.

Wolf-themed castle, treetop village, pirate cove, and a sprawling medieval town- click below to check out our fantasy world!
Very nice work! Try adding two-three block tall points of iron bars to spires and columns that have spires, it makes it more pointed. Love the battlements, most people screw them up but yours look like battlements. I suggest making the "merlons" (tall parts of battlements) taller by a half-block. Other then that, great work, and a download would be nice upon completion!
